It was revealed that he was an orderly (a Japanese one when Mia Korf played Blair) at Addie's mental hospital who raped her, but that was it. We never found out anything else about him, including his name.

And another parental mystery:

Liz and Sarah's mother's/Jeff's wife's name on GH (although Liz's Wikipedia entry lists her mother's name as Andrea Trent Webber).

IIRC, the target was Babe, not Dixie. Ergo, it had to be someone who wanted Babe out of the way.
