Members DRW50
Thank you for thinking of me @DaytimeFan . I love that third shot - so glam and so poised. You can see from her face that the event meant something to her, as it would for anyone who experienced that period of time, I imagine.

Members Taoboi
LOVE. That reminds me, @DaytimeFan, did you haven't to see the article or interview with Dame Joan talking about how TV shows are today and how her scene in THE STUD is now tame in comparison? Members DaytimeFan
I have - God love Dame Joan for thinking any one of her sex scenes in The Stud will ever be considered anything other than the very summit of disco fabulous sexploitation.

Members SFK
Wow, that was... somethin'. Is it any wonder why so many dudes in Hollywood wanted her? I love Eli Wallach in Baby Doll, as the unconventionally sexy antihero.

Please register in order to view this content @DaytimeFan did Joan sell her Beverly Hills mansion that's in this segment? Members DaytimeFan
She did. That house, at the top of Cabrillo Drive in Beverly Hills, was once owned by Joan's friend Laurence Harvey, then Joan owned it for about 10 years, selling it in 1994 right before the Northridge Earthquake (the segment aired after she'd sold it, obviously taped months before), the house was later bought by one of the creators of Will & Grace, then Ellen DeGeneres, and it's current owner is Ryan Seacrest. Joan hasn't owned an actual house in LA since then. She rented in Sierra Towers from 1997 when she started on Pacific Palisades till 2002 when she married Percy and moved to New York. She later purchased in Sierra Towers in 2007 for $2.7 million, sold in Sierra Towers in 2017 for $4.5 million, and purchased her current Wilshire Corridor condo the same year for $2.1 million. This is a recent photo of Joan in said Wilshire Corridor condo to coincide with her appearance in The Originals Podcast for LA Magazine: Please register in order to view this content

Members DRW50
Rupert Everett shares a story from his memoirs about the agonies of a film he made on Oscar Wilde. Toward the end he mentions that Joan was a true friend as she and Percy went to see his movie in spite of less-than-ideal conditions. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-8778837/RUPERT-EVERETT-tells-quixotic-attempt-reignite-career.html
