Not to be callous, but not even the SOD cover photo is jogging my memory here. The actress' (stage) name was Andrea Moar, and it says she played Carrie Sanders Tyler in the early '80s. I watched a bit at that time on school vacations and such (I was around 7 or 8 in the very early '80s) and watched for Cliff/Nina, etc., but I do not recall the character.

In any case, Andrea apparently drowned, which is always sad. May she RIP:

Does anyone here remember her or her character?

That is very sad --- I only started watching in 1990, so I don't remember her.

The drowning sounds a little fishy to me... she was in very shallow water and just floating, and all of a sudden went under and never came back up?? They say she made this trip annually - so swimming in the ocean wasn't unusual for her... hmmm...

That is so sad, may she rest in peace. Here's a little info:

"Around the same time, Palmer successfully wooed Donna Tyier from her husband Chuck, leaving the latter to wed Carrie Sanders, whose dad Kurt was being treated for beating his wife Leora. But Donna and Chuck had a one-night fling, and when Chuck learned of his being the birth father of the child, called Palmer John Cortlandt, he and Donna reunited briefly while the senior Palmer suffered amnesia, then tried to win back Daisy's love."

Thanks! Odd. I recall the Donna/Chuck ONS and Palmer/Daisy stuff easily, but still not Carrie. Either way, as I said, it's sad. She was still pretty young. But, yeah, the death seems kind of suspicious, to me. Maybe I watch too many episodes of Forensic Files, or whatever.
