Romances

  • Abram & Cara Maria: The two met on Cutthroat and began to show affection for each other throughout the entire season of The Challenge. After the show ended, the two continued to date, and Abe provided moral support to Cara Maria over the phone during her stint on Rivals, but have since separated.
  • CT & Diem: CT and Diem met on The Duel where CT instantly developed a crush on Diem, who was at the time dealing with the side-effects of her chemotherapy. CT had helped Diem to feel confident with herself by the end of her time on The Challenge, and the two began dating after. The two were still dating as of The Gauntlet III, but due to how Diem felt she was treated on that season she broke up with him prior to the reunion.
  • Dunbar & Paula: Paula and Dunbar had a relationship based upon fighting with each other, and kissing and making up through out The Island and The Duel II. It was revealed on the reunion that the two did have sexual intercourse after leaving New Zealand. After feeling betrayed by Dunbar before her elimination on Cutthroat, Paula felt as if she could no longer trust him, and Dunbar stated that he was done with Paula.
  • Dustin & Heather: Dustin and Heather were season sweethearts on their season of The Real World: Las Vegas (2011) and dated, until shocking revelations about Dustin's past tore their relationship apart. They later got back together in an on-and-off relationship.
  • Johnny & Camila: Camila had stated that she had a crush on Johnny and that she would marry him on Cutthroat, but nothing much was shown happening between the two of them. A possible fling was hinted at during the season's S#!% They Should've Shown special, where Johnny and Camila were suspected of hooking up in the house bathroom and averting detection by having Camila possibly leave through the room's window. Johnny was in a relationship at the time, and in interviews for the special, he and Jenn denied any fling between Johnny and Camila [4], however RW: Cancun alumna Jonna Mannion hinted on Derrick Kosinski's podcast that a fling between the two did occur during Rivals.
  • Leroy & Naomi: Leroy and Naomi were "friends with benefits" during their season of The Real World: Las Vegas (2011), but only got together at night if neither had found someone else that day.
  • Mark & Robin: Mark and Robin met on Battle of the Sexes 2, where the two began a relationship that lasted even after the season had ended. On the The Inferno II, Robin and Tonya got into an argument over Mark. In the first episode of The Duel, Robin revealed that she was single, and was no longer dating Mark.
  • Nate & Priscilla: Due to Priscilla's underage status during her time on The Real World: San Diego (2011), she was unable to enter the bars and clubs with her 21+ year old roommates, and one night, Nate stayed home with her and the two made out while alone in the house. Nothing more occurred after this instance, despite an attempt by an intoxicated Priscilla during a group trip to Cabo San Lucas.
  • Rachel & Aneesa: The two met on Battle of the Sexes and developed a relationship after the show, which was unknown to most viewers until this relationship was revealed during The Duel II, where tension occurred between Anessa, Rachel, and Rachel's newest partner at the time, Jenn.
  • Ty & Emily: Ty and Emily quickly connected and hooked up on their season of The Real World: DC, but during the season the relationship turned bad when Ty's behavior became too much for Emily to handle and she became wary of entering a serious relationship with him. Ty and Emily later got into a tumultuous argument on Cutthroat.
  • Tyrie & Jasmine: Tyrie and Jasmine hooked up in the first episode of Rivals, despite Jasmine having a boyfriend at the time.
  • Vinny & Sarah: Vinny and Sarah were partners on Fresh Meat II, and began hooking up in the first episode. On Cutthroat, after Sarah stated that she would be voting Vinny into the Gulag, he expressed that he was done with any kind of friendship with her.
  • Wes & Mandi: Wes and Mandi were teammates on Fresh Meat II, but would later hook up on Rivals after CT no longer expressed any interest in Mandi.

I am most exctied about the following pairings-

Diem & CT. Because i fell in love watching them fall in love and her recovering from cancer and moving on. Classic good girl/bad boy romance. And it is a grand one at that. I am s glad they are both back on a challenge. This romance has created the most memorable moments in recent years.

Annesa & Rachel. Because Aneesa is CRAZY obsessed with her.

Mark & Robin, because Robin is a hot ass mess in general but esp when it comes to Mark.

I think the biggest shock is that Jenn (RW: Denver) won't be on the challenge. I'm also sad to see that Paula didn't take a break after winning.

Cancer girl is always hard to take with her holier than thou bullsh!t and, of course, CT is stuck with another partner who sucks miserable ass, meaning he can't finally win like he deserves.

I'm surprised Rachel is back. I thought she was done with this show. It's sad to see she's been sucked back in. But on the other side of the coin, trainwreck Robin is back. She's the most must see for me, personally. Hopefully, since Mark is a great competitor, Robin can go far.

I'm torn though. CT, Aneesa, and Robin all deserve to finally take home a win, but with CT now having no chance in hell, I think I'll be rooting for Mark / Robin to go all the way.

Diem never gets credit because she is whiny. But she is by far one of the better girls. One of the best? No. But def in the better category. She gives it her all and usually gets pretty far. Most her her challeneges she goes right before the finale actually. And she doesnt talk a big game like shes the best. She is just emotional and gets sad easily.

And i dont think that not wanting your BF to be a douche bag and expecting people to be decent makes one holier than thou

Sorry, but Diem, Susie and Tori are the c*ntress trifecta. Though notice, I never talked about her skills. I just hate her ... or, the person she is portrayed on the show as. But yes, she'll never be a Rachel / Ev / Laurel. Beasts in female form, LoL.

And, of course, I headed straight to Vevmo, where the final three is already known. It looks like I'll be white knuckling the finale. Though I guess that's how I spend every finale. Hoping for the best for the team I want to win, and praying to the heavens the team I want to fail lose miserably. LoL

I LOVE Jasmine! I thought she was kinda crazy on Cancun, but she was my favorite competitor on Rivals because she was one of the first people in a long time on these shows to stand up to the alliance in "power." She clearly did not give a damn, and I loved her for it, and I hope we see more of that this go-round. She would have fit right in during the Coral/Veronica/Katie/etc days.

    • I watched some of Friday's show. It was sweet to see Julie celebrate her wedding anniversary to Doug (their second - kudos to the writing team for remembering). Those moments with Julie are always so moving to me because you can tell they are straight from Susan's heart.  I know Patsy Pease hasn't been on DAYS in 15 years, but I still miss Kim in weeks that are so important for the Bradys and their history on the show. Michael Dietz was always a very likeable presence onscreen, even if he was never the greatest actor. That hasn't changed.  I was impressed with how well put together the montage was of John's various identities/memories. A number of those stories were ludicrous, and several of them never should have existed, but the way this was all crafted you could see just what a unique character all those parts made John...and how much Drake played the material as best he could, no matter what. The mirror scene was a great inclusion as that really wrapped everything of John together - viewers never truly knew who he was, nor did the people in Salem, but it didn't matter, as everyone loved him anyway.
    • Been a long time, but always worth the wait!  1973 will be coming soon!  Hooray!!

    • Thanks @Paul Raven  Amidst these terrible stories I see we get the arrival of Heather. I never knew Alice forged references for her. No wonder she later became a murderer. She was a criminal all along.  The Jeff/Monica/Rick story always seems so brazen and so depressing all at once - I can't imagine how people would have talked about it in the Internet/Twitter era.  I don't understand the choice to put Audrey and Steve through even more misery after they had been separated for almost a decade. The sudden inclusion of magazine stories is fascinating...and I'm not sure if it is ever a huge story narrative for GH after this point, even when characters on the show ran magazines. The end of the Leslie and Cam story did not need to be like this (and feels a little rushed). Had every woman on the canvas at this time been raped?
    • I am bewildered and fascinated by the choice to have John Loprieno and Adam Storke play out all their dramatic sequences here in clown makeup. They really took that circus motif seriously.

    • Does anyone have a favorite adult Russ Matthews?  Which actor did you like most?  Sam Groom, Robert Hover, or David Bailey??  And why?   And if Russ had returned late in AW's run, what actor would you have wanted to portray him?  One of the former actors, or someone new??
    • I think the move to NBC dealt a huge blow to SFT that caused the show to slowly bleed out throughout their almost five year run on that network. SFT was a CBS show and it really showed when it first started airing on NBC so I understood P &G having to make adjustments to the soap in order to make it fit onto the NBC schedule vs the CBS schedule. The 1983 Tomlin/Lee era was probably the strongest while it was on NBC.  They managed to still focus on Stu/Stephanie/Jo while developing a strong youth focus with Wendy/Warren/Suzi/Kristen/ Brian with the comic element with Rhonda Sue and her partner.  This helped the show from staying the Liza/Travis show.. which it was in 1981/1982.
    • Hey, I'm wondering if anyone has cross-referenced Spauldingfield's undated episodes with the German playlists? An angel has been uploading to the Soap Vault and it would be great to be able to date all those episodes. I have access to rename them, if anyone has a list.
