Rumor: OLTL Actress to GH?

GH will be cancelled next year, instead of bringing actors on from cancelled soaps, bring on the actors who used to be on GH!

Geesh!

ITA with this. While I loved AMC and OLTL, I don't want to see those actors or characters on GH. Bring back the iconic characters that made GH #1 and send it out in style.

i hope they recast Kate and the one who plays the woman cop.

I don't understand why they recast Kate in the first place. Does anyone even like the new Kate? She sucks.

I think the ABC hires greatly damaged ATWT, aside from Cady McClain. GH seems to be gone anyway so I guess it doesn't matter - this may be more about giving friends a job.

Maybe Tuc Watkins can play Pierce Dorman's kooky twin brother.

Cady was the best! Chris Goutman had a hardon for anything ABC and it harmed the show. (We will never agree about Howarth as Paul). I'll go for any good actor but not for a copy cat reason. RC and FV probably like working with Bree and that explains the hire.

What hire? Bree has said straight up, it's not happening.

It's so odd to me that some random person posts info like this and so many people just blindly believe it. There is no credible reason to believe that one single person from OLTL is going to show up on GH right now.

Meant to attach to previous post. The local ABC affiliate in Rochester New York, doing a behind-the-scenes report on Luke and Laura's 1993 return to GH which was shot there. It's tremendous the scope and budget that soaps had back then!

Tony is receiving the most mainstream press of any soap opera in death I've ever seen. It really speaks to how much of a cultural impact Luke and Laura had that they're still talked about 44 years later. if you know nothing else about soaps, you know Erika Kane and Luke & Laura.

BTG: December 2025 Discussion Thread

-- The Anita health scare can be an interesting story, but I do wish they had avoided the soap cliche of keeping it a secret from everyone. I hope that ends shortly.
-- Speaking of cliches, some of the dialogue was really clunky today, and giving Tomas a ton of dialogue is a choice.
-- Chelsea went to Dani's to look for hidden Christmas presents? Really? Couldn't they come up with a better reason to get her there?
-- Hayley has made some dumb moves (like all these open meetings at Uptown), but would she really make a joke with Bill and intimate she was fleecing him?
-- I don't understand why Bill needs to investigate Tomas. Feels like soap ridiculousness.
-- The stuff with Vanessa and Joey is horrendous. I do not want to watch months of her slobbering over him and saying "I'll crawl" to be with him while having sex all over the filthy casino gaming table.
-- Any surprise that Vanessa wanted to take down Joey will not make up for the way she's behaved and for the things she's said.

That 1979 episode of Days is amazing. I want more! Amanda and Chris! I really enjoyed the Stephanie and Mary scenes. I am so intrigued to see more of the Trish and Margo scenes surrounding the diamonds. The Mike and Margo scenes were great. Margo’s jealousy of Trish was wonderfully acted. Mike and Margo seemed to have such a conflict filled marriage. Never time to stop and breathe, they were always worried about something. Money, Trish or Margo’s health. Never a truly happy moment lol

Y&R: December 2025 Discussion Thread

-- Eric Braeden is an awesome human being. I really admire him. However, the show doesn't do him or his character any favors by writing him the same way they wrote him when he got Nikki off the stripper pole. It doesn't work.
-- It doesn't help that the entire AI story is completely nonsensical and unrealistic and illogical. I start grinding my teeth when these actors pretend it makes sense.
-- The launch party for Abbott Communications was a complete embarrassment. The 50s theme was great for dress-up, but otherwise made no sense. Sally's speech was pathetic -- one cliche after another about the purpose and goals of AC. Talk about a nothing burger.
-- And who has a launch party and doesn't invite ANYONE on their staff? Billy congratulated Sally for all she did. Uh...so what exactly did she do?
-- NO ONE writes worse business stories than Josh Griffith. I can name two dozen things wrong with it.
-- Phyllis and Daniel left the launch party and went to Crimson Lights for coffee? What?
-- For the 84th time, Adam and Chelsea realize they're pawns and suckers.

Looking on AWHP she doesn't even seem to have been there a month, so you're right. I suppose the 90 minute runtime means they had already exhausted story possibilities for the mother-daughter triangle in that month.
Jamie was so important to Cecile's formative years. I wish he hadn't been replaced by Sandy and then Cass...but the same happened with Jamie in Vicky's life.
I'd like to think if AW had gone on, Jamie would have returned, but that's probably naive.
