I'm not sure which writer started it or why it's been continued, but there is no need for Jack to be a child. Ashford played Jack before he was a joke and has played characters since Jack that were not dumbasses... There is no need to keep writing a character with Jack's history and Ashford's talents, this way.

But the reality is that's how it's been written for 20 years. 20 [!@#$%^&*] years. It never changes and it makes me wish DAYS was cancelled.

Jack is written like this and Jack's presence on canvas results in this same shite storyline over and over again.

JohnMar do live in a townhouse, but high up in one. when Sami moved in she talked about the view of all of salem and if you look out the balcony doors, its clearly very high up.

This Jennifer story is the SAME story GH did with Lulu a few years ago. While that was okay with a teenager, it is incredibly STUPID with 40+ characters

My question is: are you we the audience meant to think this is Marlena's penthouse (ie the yellow one with the staircase, one of the most glamorous sets in daytime) or a new apartment that John and Marlena moved into?

And Abe said that the brick must have been thrown from a neighbouring building. In New York or London this could be possible as buildings are so close together...I guess Salem has expanded exponentially!

Marlena got rid of the penthouse in late '07, when John "died." She moved into this townhouse. When she and John left Salem, Sami lived in it until "the pipes burst" and she moved into the DiMera mansion. It's the same townhouse set that we saw from late 2007 through mid-2010.

GG - better writing, interaction with characters outside of Sami, EJ, Nicole, and Stefano and not being on everyday.
