October 3, 201114 yr Member I think the Dennisons just seemed out of place and ill-defined. It took years for Tricia to work (IMO) and I don't think Keith ever worked. Megan worked with Nick Scotti but that was it.
October 3, 201114 yr Member Actually wasn't Josh Griffith responsible for a lot of what went down the first half of 2008 which lead to MAB screaming he was abusing his power to rewrite stories and scenes leading to Griffith's firing? Or so the story goes, cause then after Griffith left we had that nice little upswing aka honeymoon period aka fool's gold for MAB&Co. (July 2008-May 2009) Actually Maria's honeymoon period was when she first began (around Christmas) up until around Sabrina died. By the time Adam went to jail it was all downhill. The soap press hype seemed to go on up to mid-2009. I think it was the Colleen death fiasco that may have been the last straw for the Auntie Ri Ri fans. Either that or all that hype over Adam/Rafe ending in tie-fixing cutaways. Edited October 3, 201114 yr by CarlD2
October 3, 201114 yr Member The soap press hype seemed to go on up to mid-2009. I think it was the Colleen death fiasco that may have been the last straw for the Auntie Ri Ri fans. Either that or all that hype over Adam/Rafe ending in tie-fixing cutaways. That was total bullshit from Maria. Some gay storyline that was...oh forgot Phillip too.....[!@#$%^&*]
October 3, 201114 yr Member But she was going to make sure gays were written just like ordinary people. Considering that the "star" of her much hyped gay stories became popular after terrorizing and destroying the lives of women, I guess that is ordinary by her standards.
October 3, 201114 yr Member The soap press hype seemed to go on up to mid-2009. They were mainly excited about the gay stories. Once they ended (or never really began) most of the soap press quickly lost interest.
October 3, 201114 yr Member That was total bullshit from Maria. Some gay storyline that was...oh forgot Phillip too.....[!@#$%^&*] Don't forget Nick making jokes about Adam/Rafe too. It was really homophobic & offensive.
October 3, 201114 yr Member They were mainly excited about the gay stories. Once they ended (or never really began) most of the soap press quickly lost interest. I must have blinked because I missed it all.....Word to it all Don't forget Nick making jokes about Adam/Rafe too. It was really homophobic & offensive. It was a total joke to Maria. She only did it to hype the show. I wish I would have left sooner when Chris Egen did.
October 3, 201114 yr Member Don't forget Nick making jokes about Adam/Rafe too. It was really homophobic & offensive. But Victor still accepted Adam. Our hero...
October 3, 201114 yr Member Victor wouldn't have been homophobic anyway. He's a megalomaniac not a homophobe. But that was a new low for Nick.
October 3, 201114 yr Member It was Smith, not Latham. Smith axed Lynne. Miguel's last appearance was at the end of Smith's run. He was mentioned from time to time during LML. It was ultimately Josh Griffith who axed him by having him leave town off-screen. Gina last appeared in early 2009 so it was MAB who axed her. I'm somewhat surprised Esther is still around - on contract, no less.
October 4, 201114 yr Member Smith axed Lynne. Under Smith Olivia, Miguel, Mamie, Lynne & Mary all disappeared. Gina last appeared in early 2009 so it was MAB who axed her. Gina basically disappeared during Smith's run (with dayplayer appearances under Latham & Maria).as did Esther (despite Kate remaining on contract). Edited October 4, 201114 yr by DeeeDee
October 4, 201114 yr Member Did Patty Weaver leave because of her back problems or was it the show's decision?
