Liz maybe nobody would've accused you right away if you hadn't just standed there looking like a guilty nitwit not saying anything!! What a DUNCE she is being made out to be lately! *sigh*

I love that Jax was on the sidelines listening as Carly poured her heart out to Shawn (about how much she admired Jax). Those were really good scenes.

Bambi is a hopeless MORON!!

Lucky rolleyes.gif I'm so sorry. I'm just done.

Really HATED Tuesday's GH. Carly/Shawn & Jax/Skye were the only highlights for me.

I haven't been watching for weeks, and just caught up on everything Skye! Robin is truly just a pleasure to watch..she just owned her scenes with Tracey like the HBIC she is, and the whole backstory on Tracey's money is AMAZING.

Those two work so well off one another. But seriously, SKYE IS BROKE....AGAIN?!?!!? Damn that woman can't keep two nickels together to save her life.

I can't wait to catch up on the Jax scenes.

It's not just mobbies who do that - they are just the MOST hypocritical when it's done. All of US entertainment pulls that one out at one time or another (interestingly enough, when religion is found in the dramas written by other countries, it's handled quite differently).

As for GW, a "balanced canvas" is going to have to include the Unholy Trinity. It's just not going to be them 90% of the time. And I think the signal is already there that this will be a going forward, not a looking back. The Jones, Hardys and Scorpios are not returning. The current families - Spencers, Quartermaines, Corrinthos, Davises - are the ones who will be mined for story. And given how much attention has been in the Unholy Trinity up 'til now, there is a great deal of story that can come from the other families.

The return of "old favourites" is always a mixed bag. It makes sense in the terms of AMC and OLTL to bring back past favourites because those shows are ending. Sure, they are being transferred online, but it will never be the same again. This is their swan song so the writers are having as many dancers as the stage can handle (and not all done well, I'm reading). The fact that GH is not parading the past indicates to me not only that they aren't anywhere near their end, but that they know some things have come to an end and they must move on. I'm quite leery about what will happen over at Days with the return of so many former characters. Will they clog the canvas like the mobbies have clogged GH for years?

GH is going a different route and their starting point is not 10/20/30 years ago, thank heavens.

The character of Shawn balances the character of Carly, yes. However, Laura Wright's portrayal is still just as smug, arrogant, and obnoxious as ever and it dilutes any effect that their relationship would have on the character. It's an improvement, but it's far from getting me to like Carly again.

Laura Wright's basically "NO" when comes to anything more than platonic with Carly and Shawn. She was all "No, I don't see that in anything we're doing" in that Michael Fairman (I think) interview. So, she's going out of her way to make sure it stays that way. So, even though the dialogue is less abrasive when Carly's with Shawn, the portrayal is still as frigid and cold as ever. It just appears that Shawn's got a crush on an ice queen.
