As a general rule I would rather that characters who have been killed off, especially those killed off onscreen, would just stay dead. I don't mind occassional back from the dead stories (not daytime but Kimberly's return on MELROSE comes to mind), especially if the deaths were planned so that there could be a return or we didn't see them. But stuff like Taylor or Phillip Chancellor coming back? No. Y&R used to be good with this... Sigh.

OLTL: Victor Lord, because no matter what we see on sreen, it feels as if the writers will challenge themselves on how to bring him back. He could wither and blow away in the writers would find a way to resurrect him.

Yes! When I first really got into One Life I though he was the most fascinating, well-written for dead character ever, and I even recall asking my mom if he had ever actually been on the show ("Oh, yes, of course!"). Bringing him back was one of the most boneheaded, cheap fanfic decisions ever, just stupid.

Yes, Kimberly's Melrose return was perfectly believable because news of her death was simply word of mouth: she had been sent to a hospital in Ohio where her mother could look after her and then her mother informed them that she had died. No questions were asked. And 6 months later, she pops back in L.A., with a fresh face, nasty scar, and ugly vendetta against her wrong-doers. Sigh... gotta love Kimberly Shaw!

Andre died in the hospital. He pulled his own plug I think while Grandpa Shawn was in the room. Identical cousin Tony died on the pier when he took a fall and landed on an exposed nail or something. Bizarrely, Stefano and EJ hang out at the very spot to this day.

Wow, I so don't remember any of that. I think I tuned out, mentally, from DAYS around 2005 when it all got so incredibly bad. Ever since, I watch half-heartedly. I remember that Tony died on the pier, but didn't remember the circumstances. A nail... really?!? Lame.

DAYS - Andre DiMera (or whomever was the ubervillain we saw 2004-2007). I can't even remember the details of how he died or how Tony (the one who was rescued from a random island in 2007ish) died either. Everything about this character from the time he returned in 2002 til the time the last incarnation of him died has been an epic fail.

Andre is one of the absolute best villains. He's right up there with Stefano.

Tony is a burnt out character who has come back from the dead way to many times IMO. He needs to stay in the ground. Same could be said for Stefano but I at least still find him entertaining & fun to watch, plus he's the main evil patriarch of the DiMera family & I love him with Kate.

Not true, Tony has never come back from the dead.

Adam. I'm tired of "The Adam and The Rest of them". MM thinks he's gods gift to the show and IMHO, he's not all that. Adumb is an annoying sociopathic loser who just needs to die. MAB is obsessed with this character and for the LIFE of me, i can't understand WHY. Everyday, every month, every year...same crap. Framing someone for murder, using a woman(Skye,Heather, Diane) to scheme and plot, etc. I'm over it.
