AMC: 4 more vets slated for return

I couldn't imagine OLTL ending without Andrea Evans, John Loprieno and Patricia Elliot. Certainly they'll be back. I could also see Brynn Thayer, Mike Storm, and James DePaiva coming back. The show has plenty of time to coordinate these returns.

I think we'll see Pat, but none of the others. The only time OLTL has brought a vet back in recent years is to kill them off or ruin them. It's probably for the best.

They havent ruined Cassie in any of her recent returns. Cord, Max, RJ, Hank were not ruined or killed off in their last returns

Exactly. Its only July. AMC leaves the air in 2 months and OLTL in 6. If it were October, I'd be worried. It's July so we'll see and hope for the best.

None of these returns are really a surprise.

I wouldn't even count RJ and Hank's most recent returns as returns, they were props for Tea and Rachel respectively for all of 30 seconds

I wouldn't call any of those returns - the closest would be Max's, which was 3 years ago, when the show wasn't as awful. RJ showed up for ten seconds to hype Tea. Hank showed up for five seconds and is presumably still locked in the mansion. Cord was just there to dump Tina one last time. Cassie was there to get sick in an airplane toilet.

They were returns and it still stands that none was ruined or killed off.

They were cameos that had nothing to do with any of the characters and just made them pointless or stupid. If that's a return then the show really is better off not bringing anyone back.

They were cameos utilized in current plots and interacted with characters relevant to them. I welcome OLTL getting people from the past before finale. I dont expect any now, but more likely towards Nov, Dec, Jan

Wasn't there a rumor in SOD that while AMC was working toward getting a ton of stars back, OLTL was torn between getting people and not? I'm sure this issue was further exacerbated by the renewal, too

Cassie interacted with an airport toilet and spent the other scene in the background. RJ had no real reason for being a Tea prop, considering the way she treated him. Hank was OK but he didn't even get an exit, which was bizarre.

I really am not expecting anyone back, aside from people from the last few years, but I will be happy to be wrong.

I read that but again AMC is ending alot sooner than OLTL so its plans were/are more urgent. OLTL has more time to go that route closer to finale

It will probably only be for the last episode or two (which is what I expected for RM and LM, but would have hoped for more of DC and JB) but it's better than nothing.
