Big Buffy fan here and yeah I remember that.

But the situations are different as PP licensed the rights from ABC and so ABC stands to make some $$$ if PP is successful.

I just find it a horribly run marketing situation thus far. PP saved 2 soaps and they should be announcing it loudly hey AMCers your show has a new home with us... and check this internet page for more details.

Instead it's silence. AMCers will turn off the show believing it's over. 99% never check a message board to learn otherwise.

That's the part that seems so off to me. They have no place to send interested people for information. A simple webpage inviting people to sign up for updates would be easy enough. That's why I found the "How much would you pay?" article completely stupid. How much would I pay for what?

Oh well, we're still better off than yesterday when everyone had just left AMC for dead. (Thanks Deadline dry.png )

It's a step forward but PP really needs to use their highest profile star, Lucci, for this.

PP needed to HIRE Lucci as their marketing spokesperson and announce soaps STILL have life in them and here's where you can follow us. She should be doing the entire TALK SHOW CIRCLE for them.

The silence from PP has been odd and they have very little time to INFORM AMCers who are still invested. Once those AMCers turn that soap off, it will be hard months later to get their attention IMO.

It was reported even on the local Victoria news here--and was in the newspaper in an associated press column (as was one about it coming online). My Grandma knows NOTHING of soaps (though as a girl she has fond memories of listening to Ma Perkins), but she knows I do and after the news broke had read it in the paper, and asked me if theyw ere shows I watched. So, it depends... It'd be less likely, but the news was told.

On Friday, September 23, THE VIEW will commemorate ALL MY CHILDREN's 41-year run with a special one-hour show, with Susan Lucci (Erica) serving as a guest co-host. The show will feature appearances by AMC's legendary creator and headwriter Agnes Nixon, executive producer Julie Hanan Carruthers, and cast members Cameron Mathison (Ryan), Rebecca Budig (Greenlee), Vincent Irizarry (David), Thorsten Kaye (Zach) and Alicia Minshew (Kendall). Plus, THE VIEW will set the stage for a reunion of two of Pine Valley's most memorable supercouples from the 1980's: Greg and Jenny, played by Laurence Lau and Kim Delaney, and on-screen best friends Angie and Jesse, played by Debbi Morgan and Darnell Williams.

The audience will be filled with devoted AMC fans, and viewers watching at home will get to see never-before-seen footage of the soap's final taping, never-before-seen interviews with special guest stars and returning cast members, an exclusive sneak peek at the final broadcast episode, and a special videotaped montage showcasing some of the soap's most memorable moments over the years.

Tune in to THE VIEW on Friday, September 23, at 11 a.m. ET.

Ha an exclusive preview an hour or two before it airs :P Still, I admit I'm looking forward to this--the View 40th AMC special was pretty decent--Baba Wawa's condescension and treating Agnes Nixon like a silly old woman (when I don't think she's even all that older) aside--I hope she's not on this show.

Angie and Jesse are "on screen best friends?" Umm do they mean off screen, cuz on screen I'd say they're more than "best friends"
