I'm not sure how I feel about this, Seth MacFarlane did start out writing kids cartoons, so does know how to write a family cartoon that the Flinstones is and not just raunchy humor that is Family Guy, but at the same time, it's been such a long time since he's written a kids cartoon, I hope he hasn't forgotten how & does The Flinstone's justice.

I think he knows the difference between his adult comedys and a kids show, he has done good kids shows in the past. But if this is going to be a sunday night comedy, i expect it to be much more adult and it should be.

The question is what is adult. In recent years adult is just a byword for cheap jokes. I read that his shows like to tell jokes about men watching women go to the bathroom. Is that going to be a script for The Flintstones?

adult being fratboy type humor, i would assume not your type of adult. lol. i expect the filnstones, if its to be paired with family guy/etc to be more like than them than the classic cartoon, but perhaps not quite as far. it needs to be different, more like the audiance that watches the shows it is paired with, but Seth seems to love the original so i doubt he will ruin it.

This sounds like a bad idea. Yeah it will be modern and perhaps a little cynical with current ways of talking. And then if that isn't bad enough, unless they can reanimate Mel Blanc and crew, it isn't even going to sound right. Just leave well enough alone!
