I think overall they all did well tonight, so glad after the fiasco of the past 3 weeks.

Chris and Katherine nailed, I was really amazed by both performances. :D:D:D

Ace, , Elliot, and Taylor were pretty good, all had shaky moments, but nottoo bad.

Paris, she does well with this music, the song was just kind of boring.

Kellie was the by far the worst tonight and I am hoping that everyone votes that way, send her home please!

I liked this theme so much better since it allowed the singers to relax a bit and I love Rod Stewert. He looked like he had a good time with everyone. Here are my thoughts:

Chris-He needed this and he was fantastic. Nice tone and he looked and sounded great. Now I am seeing versatility and that is something we have only seen once before. He did great.

Paris-Loved it. This is her element. She is a classy, elegant jazzy type singer. Her voice suited that song very well and I haven't enjoyed her this much in weeks.

Taylor-Again same as Paris. The dancing drove me nuts at the end but I liked the fact he threw himself into it. He sang great and was very impressive IMO. His best in weeks IMO.

Elliot-Great vocals as usual but I agree with Simon. Its same old same old with him. Its the same problem I had with my fave Chris until this week. If he survives this week, he need to do something completely out of his element and it has to be radical. He needs to do something like Chris did. He was good but I am afraid for him tomarroe, especially since he has been in the bottom twice of late.

Kellie: Horrible and she knew it and I will give her credit for admitting it and not making excuses. if she cut the dumb act out I would love her. I appreciate her politeness and all and she has toned it down a bit. I could see her in the bottom tomarrow but she has a huge fanbase so I wonder. The song was ok for her but she looked so stiff and uncomfortable up there-almost like she knew she would bomb or like someone picked the song for her like Simon suggested.

Ace: His best in weeks but still I am not sure if it was good enough. He looked really freaky and I am getting sick of that falshetto [!@#$%^&*] he does. He is still way to Constantine-like for my taste. I still see bottom 3 for him sicne he has been a regular there even though he did better tonight vocally and the judges liked him.

Katherine-I am not sure if this was her moment but this was definitely the best of the night and her best in awhile. She gets better every week and she was in her element tonight and looked great. She is just so close to having that magic Idol moment and cementing a place in the final IMO. Tonight she was flawless I am just not sure if it was it or not but it was great. Once she has one of those moments she will cement her place in standing next to Chris at the finale. She is way too good vocally not to be and she has the look and personality. She has now become my second fave (still hasn't passed Chris for me).

My bottom 3 based on performance would be Kellie, Elliot, and Ace but I think Kellie's fanbase may keep her out. In that case, despite her awesome performance I can see Paris ending up there if Kellie doesn't. No matter what I see either Elliot or Ace going based on the last few weeks and on performance tonight.

    • I wouldn't call Tomas' cuts a modern cut. They appear to be a slim/extreme slim cut⏤cut slimmer down the sides, with a higher armhole, which pulls up/out, depending on the fit of the person's body. Again, I feel like Ms Featherstone is buying to fit the wrong parts of the body; instead of buying to fit their widest parts (shoulders), she's buying things to fit their middle/waist (which is the easiest to ultimately fix without a complete re-cut), and it shows in the finished product. And the only reason it irks me is because I worked in suit sales for nearly ten years, and I notice these things immediately. The fashion(s) on this soap are miles ahead of three of the four others (I like the fashions from Y&R), but the tailoring is a choice, especially where the men are concerned.
    • There probably would have been a good chance they knew of him, especially with his ties to Spaulding and his being involved in so much scandal (meaning there would be plenty of photos and articles around they both would have seen), but I agree the mask was silly, clearly just a TV moment.

    • I think all the suits are fit too tight, except for Jon Lindstrom's. DC lawyers/doctors are not all LA fashion elites. Yes, maybe Tomas would have a more modern cut to his suit, but an established guy like Bill wouldn't go around looking like that lonely button on his jacket was ready to explode constantly.
    • I do think there's room for optimism, especially with Amazon making enough new episodes to last until December. There's still time for the various players to get their ducks in a row. Guess we'll know soon enough!
    • I do agree it's better to just have people pop back into town. I never understood why Roger needed a mask on an island, when neither Fletcher or Alex would've known who he was. And the vine...sigh. Couldn't he have just been sent crashing through a window or something?
    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
