I could've sworn Mark Brettschneider (Jason) was the last addition to the Tour of Llanview opening. I've yet to see him though, I'm a few behind in '91. Always was baffled that he made it in but not Luna, but again maybe I imagined it.

I think OLTL dumps Robyn Griggs in the fall and then brings her back after Carlo's death in the spring to wrap the murder mystery, but don't quote me, I'm not sure.

It is hilarious seeing half the opening populated by already-fired people. It's also hilarious that it took me til this month to realize the reedy, weaselly guy up front in the opening is in fact the chameleonic Nicholas Walker as Max and not Jake's annoying friend Lucky or whoever. I'd spent years wondering 'why isn't NuMax in the opening?'

Thanks @Vee

I remember Robyn Griggs said at one point to SOD that ABC fired her but then had to legally bring her back ( Cannot remember why) but I saw Megan's funeral in 1992 and stephanie is there. Kevin is with LeAnn then.

Brenda was at the party and she hasnt been on in months.

So that was Luna Moody's entrance?

You can tell they were setting story up even before the parachuting-in of Luna and Malone's name being officially on the show - I don't know if he was involved in the material (I suspect so) but Megan is notably under the weather at Hunter and Andy's wedding in late August, Alex is kept on after her planned exit and the spectre of Sarah is raised all around the same time. In addition to Jason being added in early August, which I think is all Gottlieb.

For years I couldn't retain any of it after the first few words. The gag I had going for a long time was it would just run on like 'here's what you do when you go with to find what you know when you do what you give when you rainbow's end....don't cry!'

I'm glad someone confirmed the shot existed. It truly is bad, but of course all those old '80s photos with the sepia treatment look like everyone has jaundice and will soon die. Crazy they made time to add him but no one else (I think).

Some work (the shot of Laura Bonnarigo is lovely, and Joey Thrower is striking, although he looks nothing like his other self), but I would agree.

I think the reason you confused Lucky and Max is because Lucky's shot actually is similar to the second NW shot of Max. Until now I did not even realize they changed his shot. I wonder why they bothered.

Oh wait - they changed his shot TWICE.

I have no idea if someone was just bored or if his agent was down the line complaining...maybe it can be taken as some statement on those dying days of Rauch. I'll include the similar shot of Lucky (which is actually nicer than Walker's last shot).

This is some 1991 producer's version of what Dee did to Dennis on Always Sunny:

    • Also, the lawsuit story was not the right story to bring Naomi and Bill into a court battle since those types of lawsuits are usually resolved via settlements.
    • I know that Sara did eventually become Carrie's therapist, but I was curious if the show had her make comments regarding Carrie's stunts of making it seem as though Justin was cheating on Jackie.  Given that Justin cheated on Sara with both Jackie and Brandy, I wondered if it was wise of her to counsel Carrie given the conflict of interest involved. @DRW50I think once Adam/Sara end up married.. Marland didn't see any reason to explore Sara's personal life after the actor playing Adam was released.  I know that Sara lasts until at least Christmas 1982 on the show.. but I don't think she ended up staying on for very long into 1983. The period between Marland quitting and Pam Long starting was the perfect time to clean house on characters that had outgrown their usefulness  (i.e. Ben, Evie, Sara, Jennifer, Morgan).. and tying up stories started by Marland that were too complex (Mona Enright, Mark/Jennifer/Amanda triangle).
    • Unpopular opinion:  The focus on the soap opera tropes over the mysteries and crimes was partly what did the show in.  Also, featuring characters not involved in the legal, police, and criminal elements also hurt the show and took away what made it unique. Featuring characters like Jody, Raven, Sky, etc hurt the show long term.  The show ABCified starting in 1976/1977 and then went through a youthification period starting in 1981.
    • I feel like the lawsuit storyline was resolved quickly because the show didn’t want to spring for more sets.
    • It's been a while, but we have seen the foyer to Bill and Hayley's house as well as the exterior entrance to their house. The foyer was first seen in the premiere episode when Hayley met Vanessa at the house.
    • There's still a year or two before Larkin arrives. Joel is there already. EON does noticeably youthify, although I think they carry it off. Admittedly I haven't seen most of the Jody stories, which from what people here have said aren't great.
    • I don't mind the actor who plays Brian. He's fine. The problem for me is that Paige seems so wishy wishy. She doesn't seem to have much of a personality at this point so I don't see why Brian would be so besotted with her. She just lurches from one trauma to the next. Granted, it's only been a month, but she's not as vibrant as April or even Deborah who has had minimal screen time by this point.  I do worry about the influence of GH on the show since I'm in fall of 1979 and characters have conversations and there's not the drive to "youthify" the show. However, I think Marceau (sp?) is gone. He was given a rather tame sendoff. How long was the actor on the show? I hope this is not a sign of things to come. I worry the show is setting up a murder mystery around one of my favorite characters and I will be mightily annoyed. I also noticed in recent Search for Tomorrow episodes uploaded to YT that the actors playing Logan and Eliot showed up. I don't watch the show but they were in the screencaps. When does Larkin Malloy show up or has he already left? Joel Crothers hasn't shown up either unless I've blinked and missed him.
    • Dr Linden. She treated Vanessa's drug addiction (although Vanessa seemed to forget that by Henry's suicide attempt) , and she's mentioned during Reva's PPD. Although I can't recall if she's actually shown right off the top of my head. She probably was temporarily shelved when Sonni was a therapist (between her crazy times) And I think Billy sees her after he falls off the wagon after Reva's death.
