That sounds like a great dream. Always fun, and so random, having a soap dream. Train Journeys with Victoria Lord would be one hell of a show.

That does sound like one hell of a show... sitcom/dating show kind of thing! They could even find a way to product place a few pitted prunes here and there! 😁 I need to recreate my brain chemistry and get back into that train with her and Sloan tonight. I'll start with an episode or two... and I hope I don't end up dreaming Alex Olanov instead of Viki, because that will be a NIGHTMARE.

I’m almost done with February. They were on a roll for SIX weeks straight but I finally discovered my fast forward button when Tina and Cain suddenly began hogging up the airtime of two or three episodes in a row. Their comedy is not for me.

Same here. I for some damn reason decided I will not fast forward anything... it's almost like OCD type of thing, where once I say that I won't done it... I don't. But I hated these pseudo-funny scenes too. I still DO. And that's only the beginning. Thank God you are entering the period which I love the most. Blair vs Dorian is amazing.

I wish I had that much self control, I tried previously to force myself, but after have so many golden episodes in a row I couldn’t take it.

"Fasten your seatbelts!"

Woof. Let the "Journeys with Victoria Lord" show... BEGIN! ❤️

🔷

I seriously doubt that... getting penetrated in a luxurious cabin on a legendary train's final ride... was on Viki's to-do list when she hopped on that gorgeous vehicle... but it happened. Honestly... this bitch's life is total GOALS right now. Only she can be a total ho and still look innocent doing it. I am taking notes, Buchanina! Other characters would have been slapped or dragged for this (it's not late)... but all Viki gets is... a dose of Dorian Lord every now and then.

P.S. I was bit sad we didn't see Sloan feeding her a pitted prune or cherry like last time.@DRW50 🤭

🔷

Viki isn't the only one moving on.. Clint is too, and... Kevin noticed. So... he confronted Lindsay about her "intentions" towards his father. Seriously, this guy is the ultimate cock-block. Lindsay, of course, lied through her teeth, saying, "No, I don't have anything planned... I'm not getting ready for the kill." Child, when someone says that, you better run. Or know that's exactly what they're going to do. So of course when Clint finally asked her out on their first REAL romantic date, she said - YES. I can't help but repeat how much I adore this woman. The entire time I was thinking how COMPLETELY different she is as Lindsay compared to Sharlene.

🔷

We saw another glimpse of Marty Saybrooke's human side when she warned Kevin about little Jessica's mental state - the poor thing feels lost and betrayed by her parents. She's struggling to connect with a world that has been completely shattered. The mother she once admired for her morals has now turned into the town's society slut, her sex scandals in the tabloids... 🤣 while her father drinks with the snake Lindsay every other night. Honestly, the girl is just one more trauma away from running away or worse. Marty sees her younger self in Jessica, and that triggers her. Meanwhile, we had the creep Todd publicly calling her a tramp, before the gay couple, Billy and his boyfriend, stepped in to defend her. Then they told her she had to quit the drinking and sleeping around. These are the world's most saintly gays.

🔷

I can't believe I'm going to say it. Alex Olanov was actually somewhat tolerable. She even managed to NOT SCREAM or pop her eyes like a lunatic for a scene or two with Asa. Now she's going to be THE witness who brings Tina down and gets her locked up for good. Bla bla bla. YAWN. Honestly, this storyline is boring and repetitive. The only part I enjoyed was watching Asa acting sick in the hospital bed, pretending to be terrified of Tina. Philip Carey is an absolute charmer... he can turn anything into gold. And... Alex... LET'S KEEP HER LIKE THIS for now. Tone her down even more, and she might actually work. Tonja really needs to quit the screaming and the eye popping... it's just not a good look. She's not a bad actress, but she needs a strong director who can tell her to STOP when it's too much.

🔷

Overall - I have to say, I appreciate the movement in storylines, especially the Viki Buchanina one... I predict she and Sloan are entering the honeymoon phase... before the real drama and nightmares begin. There's no way they’re going to let Viki off the hook for what she did and is still doing. Knowing soap writers... either Jessica is going to run away or become sick... or some other problem will ruin everything. I'll just have to wait and see. There are so many possibilities here. And as a final thought - I absolutely LOVE that the most scandalous character in the entire show... turned out to be Viki Buchanan of all people! I mean, I didn't expect this at all! She was pretty boring when I first started watching back in late 1991. Who knew!

Overall -  9.5/10!

Kevin vs Lindsay

@Maxim Thanks as always for the works here.

Glad they have found a better balance for Alex (never easy). She has some of her best material with Asa.

I hadn't thought about it but you are right that Viki does get away here with what few could so unscathed. I guess she has suffered enough in life. And we are seeing the toll the whole mess took on her family in the long run.

I keep forgetting Billy had a boyfriend who appeared for more than just one episode. This of course was the era on soaps when even adult men were not allowed to do more than hug, so Billy having a boyfriend was something of a risky choice on the show's part.

I do have to laugh at the Banner writing a "queen of smut" editorial on Dorian. I'm sure Llanview was very scandalized...

Anna Holbrook was one of the most intelligent actresses on soaps. She did excellent work as Sharlene but seeing her here in such a tricky role makes me sorry that she didn't get to play Lindsey for a longer period of time.

I love how she faces down Kevin and makes him step back from his judgments of her (even if they were right), the force against that Buchanan machismo.

If she had stayed I wonder if they may have had a fling...

The writing for her here reminds me a lot of the complicated professional women in Harding Lemay's Another World who were often waiting for a co-worker in a troubled marriage to slip up.

@vetsoapfan You may enjoy this clip too for that reason.
