and bc he just got married, here's a little bit of Rex throughout the years. Having joined in 2002, I really cant beleive his character lasted almost 10 years

This is very timely, as, according to Daytime Confidential, 2011 was the year of JPL.

He got worse over the years. I actually thought he was a good find when he joined as he was better as a teen. I think the pairing with Adriana was when I started to get turned off by him. The Gigi years are when he picked up some rather bad and annoying habits

I mostly think he represents OLTL's hostility towards leading men who aren't weirdly asexual and sleazy. Even back then I got the feeling the show preferred him to Joey, who, since he didn't hate women, was a dullard.

I hated them together mainly bc I was a Lindsay fan and thought he was beneath her. I preferred him with Shannon and Ginger over Adriana

Ginger was killed off. I beleive she died on the operating table while Spencer was working on her. I cant remember what was wrong with her. Shannon lived. She moved away,

Im pretty sure RJ was after Rex. Lindsay was with Rex shortly after he was with Jen and those 2 were together around 2003. RJ was a more recent pairing. I also really hated how the show had Rex steal UV out from under RJ. I wanted RJ to take him out as he was such a punk

so far as we know, these two actors never even work together. On the other hand, we have heard that other cast members consider HEARTTHROB very disruptive. "When he's on heavy," one cast member says, "everything's okay. He's too busy working to cause a ruckus. But when he's only got a few lines - well, he carries on as though nobody else's got anything to do. Some of us have complained. 'Put him on heavy, or don't put him on at all,' was our message.'"

But INTENSE's feelings go deeper than that - so deep he wants out of the show. But quitting - and keeping your image as a reliable actor - ain't so simple. So came contract-renewal time, and INTENSE decided if he asked for too much, maybe the show would just let him go. To begin with, he would only sign again for one year - rather than the standard two. Says one source, "He asked for five hundred dollars a performance - with a guarantee of three appearances a week - but no more than three whether they happened to need him more than that in any given week or not. Now that kind of money guarantee is big deal in this guy's current position. As for asking them to guarantee no more than three - well, mostly a show doesn't want an actor on that much. They know it's too much. But sometimes, when a story is taking a heavy turn, they do need to have you on more once in a while. Refusing to do that really sets management's teeth on edge."

If that weren't enough, INTENSE also insisted on clauses giving him the right to do plays, films, other TV shows, commercials, anything - even if it meant taking a little time off the show now and then. All this, INTENSE felt, was enough for ABC to ask him to go elsewhere.

But INTENSE didn't reckon on his popularity. ABC agreed to all his terms! But INTENSE wasn't giving up. Another clause was added. Up to now, apparently, INTENSE had been paying his manager. Now, he wanted the fee to be paid by ABC - and retroactively for a year back! ABC cried "Uncle." They couldn't do it. So INTENSE is out - maybe even by the time you read this - HEART-THROB will apparently go on throbbing hearts for quite a spell.

Meanwhile, back on the set, two more "One Lifers" are purported to be feudin' and fussin' something fierce. Seems one lovely actress - MISS GLAMOR we'll call her - has been getting some mighty preferential treatment. Her agreement with network stipulates private transportation. She has a vehicle that whisks her back and forth - from home to the studio and back again - at company expense!

Well, it's got one actor - who was always told how important he was to the show - pretty miffed. From his way of looking at it, he - THE STAR - just isn't the star anymore! Not without a private vehcile of his own, he isn't!

All we can say is - come on kids - stop fighting! You've got such a good show - so why not calm down and have a good time?
