Members SFK
Absolutely. That one magical day they made him a smart mouthed teen going at it with his parents about the joint and all that was the best thing that could have ever happened for the actor and character. It worked for Matthew, it's just grating with this kid playing Jack. Yes DeeeDee, Starr was just "naughty" and fun, which she got from Todd and/or Blair. I enjoyed it with her, though there were a couple times Blair needed to put her mouth in check.
Members DeeeDee
Touche. But if today was any indication he would win for this year too (had OLTL cared to play any of the beats).
Members DeeeDee
If OLTL weren't trying so hard to make him POP it wouldn't be so bad. But he's Red from Friday in every scene.
Members TeamEric
This is Nora's second time trying to cover up a murdering child. Last time Rachel went to prison and Nora got off scot-free. I hope there are real consequences for Nora this time. Her character needs to be brought down from her self-righteous all mighty act. She has the most selective morals. I wonder if Bo will be against a cover up?
Members Vee
But Jack has never observed Blair doing any of those things. The bulk of her hijinks came long before he was born. At most you could point to her trying to sting Spencer for what he did to Todd, but Jack was a non-entity on the show at that time. The difference is Carly never changed for her children and continues to [!@#$%^&*] about to this day. Blair did change. She is far from a saint but she put those kids first at every turn, IMO. You can take umbrage with the way she parents but there's nothing on the show that indicates Blair has ever neglected either of her children; she is the only consistent parent who doesn't leave town to avoid prosecution or run off with his latest obsession who is also occasionally his rape victim. The lion's share of time we see Blair until very recently, we see her with her children and family. In fact, she also took Todd's illegitimate son in and raises him as her own, since Todd has absolutely no time for Sam. As for psychos. Spencer Truman came to town looking to win Blair and frame Todd, and he would've done all of that whether or not she had ever slept with him. He targeted them, Blair didn't invite him in. In fact, he did virtually everything he did to that family months before she became estranged from Todd and went to bed with Spencer. She did not encourage him, she did not flirt with him, she was never tempted to leave Todd for him until she was led to believe Todd had killed Margaret and lied to her, and it was a matter of maybe weeks after that first night that she learned what Spencer had done and took steps (stupid steps, but steps) to try and take him down. Spencer's the only psycho I can think of in this equation, whereas Eli and Ross only came to town because of...wait for it...Tea. I don't hate Tea, but that is why they were there and they admitted it many times over. Blair came later, but their objective and their reason for action remained Tea and in Eli's case, the Manning fortune as well. Yeah, it takes a real man who understands his flaws to set your children up in the same bedroom where you raped a brain-damaged woman for the second time and then happily took a not guilty verdict. Who is sleeping in there anyway, Dani? Classy. Starr getting pregnant and having a child is in no way comparable to what he did.
Members TeamEric
EA's finest moments came when he sued his parents. I felt he was magical during all of it... he came close channeling a young JJ there. The best bratty Starr scene was when she was caught making up lies all the time at school. Blair tried to punish her and then Starr threw back in her face she was just following T&B's examples, they lie all the time so it must be ok. I respected the dawning realization on Blair's face they were being such awful role models. She vowed to give up lying but that lasted too short a time. That type of introspection is really needed here again by her.
Members Juliajms
I don't want to see Matthew go to jail. I'm fine with him getting off, but Bo and Nora can't cover this up. If they do, I can never take either of them seriously again. Clint is a different animal. He's the bad guy. He's supposed to be covering things up and bending the law to his will. Bo and nora are supposed to have some sort of moral authority.

Members Juliajms
I'm not sure there will be a cover up. I think a summer juvie story could be good. GL did one with Daisy.

Members TeamEric
Jack caught Blair lying and playing revenge games with Ross and blackmailed her to keep it secret. Even Dorian warned Blair she was enabling Jack's worst behavior but Blair put her own scheming ahead of good parenting. Jack's had a front row seat watching T&B play revenge games against each other as he proved two years ago when he was rolling his eyes at T&B's latest round of custody battles. His hero worship of Todd is more dad understands me... b/c Todd doesn't pretend to be a better person. Blair hasn't changed. Like Carly, she's used her children as weapons for decades. Actually, Blair dumps her boys off with Addie all the time while neglects her children's welfare to chase her men or her revenge games. Two recent examples, Jack was acting up at school to get attention upset Todd left for Seattle. Does Blair stay and focus on Jack's need for one parent to at least pay attention him? No, she dumps Jack on Addie and races off to Seattle, too, obsessed with chasing Todd's tail and too curious if her scheming with Ross paid off. Jack last summer begs Blair don't marry Elijah, acts up all over basically screaming pay attention to ME and she races off to Tahiti with Elijah instead. Screaming at me Todd is worse isn't going to work, Vee. I admit Todd is a lousy parent and have called him out for it since "get rid of IT." But the fact of the matter is Jack has two lousy parents and role models. Listen to Jack's words, Vee... he sneers the perfect princess line b/c he's dripping with resentment that she's the family darling yet at 15 was reckless and stupid enough to get knocked up, hardly a good role model either. I wish Starr had thrown back yes I got knocked up by a guy who has anger issues and look where that landed Cole, in JAIL. Do you want to spend 10 years in jail in a few years, Jack? That would be powerful, good moment for Jack.
Members TeamEric
I don't want Matthew in jail either, but I want him to face that real possibility. Nora needs to recuse herself so does Bo, then as parents rush to hire Tea to get Matthew off with some form of extended parole. Seriously, B&N protecting their murdering child as parents is understandable but B&N have spent too many years employing selective morality to get away with this cover up. They need to stand up and own this upfront to regain some credibility IMO.
