Congratulations to ONE LIFE TO LIVE's Austin Williams (Shane), who is being honored by the 7th Annual Prestige Awards for his lead role in the soap's bullying storyline. The Prestige Awards recognize individuals -- both in the arts and entertainment industries as well as local heros -- who are making a difference in society, and giving back to the community. The Prestige Awards' annual gala will take place in Poughkeepsie, NY, on Saturday, April 30.

I don't like the character of Shane, or anything to do with GiGi/Rex. However, this storyline has been pretty decent, with the bright spot being Austin's performance.

The kid deserves it. I've liked him since he's been on OLTL. He's a good actor for someone his age.
