What season are we in?

Anyone notice, either early this week or last week on ONE LIFE TO LIVE...characters would be coming in from out of the cold, but at the Buchanan estate, through the big picture window...the grounds are invariable summer. That bugged me.

Not as bad as Y&R. It could be January in December, in Wisconsin, and Phyllis will be wearing a backless, or sleeveless shirts. And everyone grabs a coat to go outside, and you rarely see them put the coat on first then go outside.

I live in Madison, WI...it was the coldest, suckiest winter I have ever experienced. No girl was wearing anything those women on Y&R wear.

Phyllis in backless, sleeveless deals? Well her last name is Summers...bah dah bah!

You do? Kewl beans! I used to for a lil while. Back in Chicago now.

Back to topic: Soaps always have perfect seasons (except B&B's L.A. of course). When was the last time there was no snow in Salem, Genoa City, etc. for Christmas? Except for a few freak incidents, like ATWT's ice storm in October, it's always the picturesque weather each season.

I suppose rain isn't possible in any town, due to budget issues.

Y&R used to be so good at this.... They would change things according to the seasons. Trees on backdrops would have no leaves when they shouldn't have them. When the door opened, the actors pretended it was cold and there were wind sounds. In the summer, the lighting would actually imply the heat, characters would be slightly sweaty at times, especially poor Sharon at the ranch! And, of course, more often than not, clothes corresponded to the weather.

I guess now, it's one more thing they don't care about.

For some reason this depresses me.
