The Justin Bieber Thread

I've been loving the sh!t out of his latest album lately, and honestly, this is what he's needed for a long time. It seems like this is the album that's finally gotten him some respect outside of his core fanbase, and I think that kind of acceptance will beget some maturity in young BIebs.

You ain't lying. Even though a part of me hates to say it, Purpose is a really good, fun pop album and I've been enjoying it.

I heard that Sorry song for the first time (yes I am clueless to modern music), and I liked it, but I was incredibly distracted by the intro. It sounds like Kate Bush on This Woman's Work. Was this a homage or completely unintentional???

I think he's found a nice niche for himself with Diplo and Skrillex. Purpose is a very strong pop effort, more so because of the team behind it rather than Bieber himself.

I think this type of material works better for him than the generic hip-hop infused crap he did on his last album.

I totally agree. This is the first album of his that he really seems to be completely comfortable with and confident about, and thank god it's been a big hit because I shutter to think at the neurotic antics he'd be pulling if it wasn't. It's a nice, laid back sound, mature but still very youthful, and it just clicks.

Love Yourself is highly likely to go to #1 next week, meaning Purpose will be 3-for-3 with singles topping the charts (not including Where Are U Now). I'm crossing my fingers hoping that "Company" is the next single.

I predicted this over a month ago, and it came true! I hope it's a hit.

I've listened to that song way too many times since I read your post a few months ago. Thanks....
