Members DRW50
Do you remember a little movie from sometime in the 70s, about a planet where it rains every day but one day out of like ten years. A girl moves to the planet and I think she had lived in space and had never seen the sun at all, or something. A boy at school likes her and also resents her. On the big day of the sun, everyone goes outside - I remember clearly the scene with even the stern teacher kicking off her high heels and reading in the grass - but the boy locks the girl inside the school. She doesn't get to see the sun. The last scene was the two of them in the rain, and he's hugging her as she weeps. I was made to see this a long time ago and it traumatized me for a while. Does anyone remember seeing this?
Members Mr. Vixen
Carl are yoy talking about "All Summer in a Day"? It's from 1982 and based on a Ray Bradbury story.
Members DRW50
Yes, that must be it. 70s and early 80s run together for me, as the late 60s and early 70s do. Thanks. I don't think I can ever watch that again though.

Members DRW50
There was another thing, I'm wondering if anyone ever saw it, it ran on a weekend in syndication in the mid-80s (I miss 80s TV! They had great new shows and good reruns too). It was some version of the old story about the man whose entire body became a tattoo. What was that anthology show? Members Titus Andronicus
I believe you're thinking of The Illustrated Man. If not exactly, that's the Bradbury book where a collection of stories are loosely framed by that. I haven't seen the film, but have read the book. The story The Rocket Man inspired the song of the same name. If you want weird Bradbury stuff, here's The October Game. Actually, it's perfectly plausible and not even science fiction. Warning for those with weak stomachs.
