Y'all have more faith in Brad Bell than I do! The actor who plays Justin Barber (whose name escapes me -- and I almost wrote "Justin Beiber" there  ) is extremely charismatic and yet I see him about as much as Jared on B&B -- once every three months. Brad is basking in all this quite unwarranted "OMG B&B = socially relevant!" hype, but I'm willing to bet that his 'good intentions' will fade quickly about two months from now, and that talented lady who plays Dayzee will barely feature. Brad will queef that she's gone to do "outside projects" or some such nonsense.

TLW is a stunning woman, and a warm and compelling actress, but if Bell cannot cough up something meaningful for even Sarah Brown to do, what makes everybody think he is going to do the same for Tonya?

 I hope, I really do, that I am just plain wrong and too cynical about this. The day TLW is handed a contract and an amnesiac Dru shows up in Los Angeles to take over Jackie M, well, then I'll take it all back and gladly.

I am very happy for Tonya! I agree that this move to B&B for a couple days could help and perhaps they will find that she is better suited there....however i don't want to completely hold my breath to that since Justin Marcus and now Dayzee apparently are all on the back-burner.... but maybe this thing with Olivia being Justin's cousin (which i totally forgot that there was a possibility that he could be related to Liv or Dru till now) might up the black storyline on B&B. maybe Ed Scott will help see this as a possibility since he worked with Tonya before, and even though i know that there was some bad blood with Victoria Rowell, hopefully Ed Scott wont use that against Tonya (not that im saying he ever did) and help give Brad Bell strong story arcs for these AA characters.

Ha! That actually could be a good story...

I would still love Dru to show up with amnesia. Eventually, of course, she'd get her memory back. And they could always "say" she was going to see her grandchildren/daughter. It doesn't have to be shown on Y&R for there to be a reunion there. Maybe even CK(Lily) could do a few episodes of B&B...(doubt it).

Ewww! No one wants to see her on this show...lol. Kristolyn Llyod (Dayzee) can pull double duty and play lily in those episodes.

I actually wouldnt mind the secret daughter route. Olivia got pregnant out of wed lock and had an enormous amount of pressure from her family to succeed with her career and education and this baby would only hold her back, so insted of aborting her, she gave her away and thought she was lviing with a good family but in reality has been on the streets since a very young age. Olivia and Dayzee dont quite mend fences and Olivia goes back to GC but has her cousin Justin watch over her daughter and this sets the stage for future cross overs as their relationship is allowed time to develop naturally over the course of months.

I like Dru, but she would unnecasarily complicate all this and B&B is a small half hour show, so she couldnt quite fit into it. They should keep the focus to Olivia and use that as a spring board to give Dayzee and Justin story

Haha I know, she's awful. But it just wouldn't be realistic for VR to be on B&B without a reference to Lily.

I LOVE your idea...As long as, in the future, Olivia crossed over to B&B or Dayzee to Y&R, to form a relationship. I wouldn't want it to just be..."Oh, guess she doesn't want a relationship...Better head back to GC!" I would want the relationship to bridge the two shows.

Bill and Katie are probably the best couple on the show. The only thing bornig about them is that they have no storyline but it looks like Steffy will fix that if speculation on her story is currect.

There's no room for Olivia on this show. She will work for the guest spot at the wedding but I cant see them taking her on full time. They barely feature many of their current stars as it is

    • When you bring up what I like to call "Shapiro's Folly" you think Dano's acting choices mattered? I ask because I don't think so. As far as I could tell almost universally the ABC fans hated the very idea of her being on all 4 shows! And, I agreed. If she wanted success she should have planted "Rae" on one & given up her idea of branding, or whatever it was that she was after.
    • Okay, well her reasons were that she had a mandate to reduce the size of the cast & she had another mandate to make the cast overall younger, so her reason for picking Donna to off was because she was too old.  So, is that what you understand? Or are you thinking of something else? Which if so, I would be delighted to hear about it!  She had arbitrarily picked 50 as the age people needed to be younger than.  And, that is why she got rid of both Bridget & Spencer Harrison.  And, getting rid of Bridget was another of her horrible ideas.  Why do you refer to her as the Face of the Show? Don't feel bad. I am a major Cass fan & I don't remember him with Donna either, LOL! Can we say forgettable? And, yes, Lila was the most last minute of last minutes!!!!
    • This is AWESOME, thank you for taking the time to post this! My first thought: My memory is a lot better than I thought it was, LOL! The first episode I clearly remember watching had a scene of Ed confronting Holly about Christina's paternity. He lamented how wonderful things had been over Christmas, so looks like I started watching the show early 1976. The only thing puzzling me is where is Evie? I thought she was around BEFORE Rita got involved with Tim, but maybe that's one gap in my memory. It makes Rita look slightly better--in that case, she didn't seduce Tim knowing her sister had a crush on him.
    • Oh, well.  At least he can cry into his hoodie.
    • Sorry, just realized I'd somehow lost a whole paragraph in that last post.
    • Thanks @Paul Raven  They should have brought Billy back in the early '90s for more drama with Hart and Blake. Maybe Blake would have gotten involved with him to try to ruin him in Roger's eyes, but realize under his sweet nature, Billy was a player himself.

    • Watching the cult of Fetterman collapse is one of the few political bright spots for me. The best part  is watching all the people who built him up now decide they want to tear him down. I'll be fascinated to see how this ends for him. https://buckscountybeacon.com/2025/05/pennsylvanias-democratic-senator-john-fetterman-raises-alarms-with-outburst-at-meeting-with-union-officials/

    • Long ago, this Rachel fan channel uploaded a number of clips of Rachel with Felicia during the alcoholism story, and this one in particular stands out for me.

And then you have this scene, which is the dark mirror of the above, especially the final moment: Felicia started out as camp bitch on a very dreary show (with Cecile being the only somewhat fun character around that point) and then got into a lot of comedy. Some of the comedy was very stupid, but many viewers still felt drawn to it, to Lily, Cecile, Cass, Felicia, Kathleen, Wallingford. There was a vibrancy which Dano fit well in, her fashions and melodrama parodied in a gentle way. This was missing in some of the long-suffering parts she'd had had on shows like ATWT. By the late '80s, especially after Wallingford's death, those times were gone, and Donna Swajeski added further misery to Felicia with the Gold Street backstory. Luckily, after a bit of time the show found a good framing for this new twist on Felicia. The stories with finding and losing a love from her past, learning that a woman she hated was the daughter she'd spent years searching for, sinking into alcoholism, they all fit into the type of material suited for the '40s and '50s screen goddesses.  When Dano tried some of this old weepy type of material when she went back to ABC, it mostly fell flat, as the atmosphere wasn't the same and her character always felt shoehorned in. It worked perfectly at this period on AW because you had Iris, you had Rachel, you had Donna - you had a number of tough-but-vulnerable women of a certain age, most of them grandmothers by this point, but still trying to find love, find themselves. This is what AW could have had earlier if they hadn't dumped Pat and Alice, but better late than never. This is an approach you saw more often on British soaps than on US soaps, which for a number of years respected women in that age group. Both UK and US soaps have done away with this, both countries having the ladies devolve into perpetual ingenues (with added doses of endlessly self-aware camp in the UK) or just being shipped off entirely.  You could even see that on AW with the treatment of Iris (shipped off, never to be mentioned again, too old to return), Donna (repeatedly humiliated and crippled), Felicia (regressed into degrading herself with married John), Rachel (mother to newborn twins, put into lengthy periods of trauma through her new relationship with Carl).
