Members DRW50
I would like to see, for half of the year, B&B replaced by the Joanna Johnson Show, produced by and starring Joanna Johnson, and the handful of B&B actors I can stomach. Members SFK
What do we think of Ron Raines as a new leading man for the Viki/Dorian/Echo set on OLTL? I can see him as a sort of blue collar beer swilling nice guy with an edge, like the missing link between Charlie and Eddie Ford. Maybe "blue collar" by trade but not income, owns a construction company or something. I guess folks would complain that the show was getting too GL-heavy. Members DRW50
Ron Raines is a good actor, with some screen presence, but he's also hammy and doesn't have a lot of chemistry with leading ladies. I certainly wouldn't complain if he was cast. I'd really like to see Peter Simon cast though. Or Maureen Garrett. In many ways Maureen was more suited to OLTL - at least the psychological part of OLTL, wherever that is in Fronsland - than she was to any other soap, aside from GL. Members SFK
Yeah, I wondered if the blue collar thing would take some of the ham off the bone. But then you see clips of him busting out one of his Broadway tunes and it's like, "Oh Lawd..." Honestly, I feel like MG is too good for OLTL. And that's not a diss to the wonderful women who are on the show, it's just that I feel that OLTL wouldn't give her the depth of psychological writing where she'd shine. I mean, she's meant to play the Masterpiece Theatre version of Inez or something. She would have been a good Susannah Hanen or Mrs. Saybrooke. I suppose she could still be an aunt of Marty's, the anti-Kiki.
Members DRW50
I agree that Maureen is too good for OLTL, but I'd just like to see her working again. I'd like to see her really run with a meaty storyline. I would love to see her as Cathy Craig, neurotic and broken and lashing out and in a very complex relationship with Viki. They could have her get involved with Kevin, for some interesting psychological drama.

Members Dr Neil Curtis
I forgot the two actresses from my hometown: Amelia Marshall & Petronia Paley. I seen a lot of people choosing Victoria Wyndham and Anna Stuart, I always wanted to see those to on Days. Victoria as a sister to Stefano and Anna as Kate's sister. @Carl, I too miss Gerald Anthony! That guy was great! @DeeeDee, reading you list and some of the others list shows just how many out of work soap stars we have and someone could start a new soap will all those great superb actors!
