One Life to Live is about to be injected with a little bit of reality. Socialite and reality star Kourtney Kardashian will appear on One Life to Live. The actress will not be playing herself, though the details of her character are being kept unde wraps.

Reality television star Kourtney Kardashian will be making her professional acting debut in a guest appearance on ABC's One Life to Live. Kardashian will tape the scenes tomorrow, though they will not air until well into 2011.

"I grew up watching One Life to Live," Kourtney told the cable channel E! "I hear I get into some trouble and I am looking forward to it. This may be my acting debut, but the Kardashians know a thing or two about drama."

ABC is being tight-lipped about how Kardashian will fit into the show's story, but it has been made quite clear that the celebutant will not be playing herself. soapcentral.com has learned, however, that Kardashian will appear in scenes with David Fumero (Cristian Vega) and Kassie DePaiva (Blair Cramer).

"I think this will be great for OLTL," DePaiva posted on her Twitter page. "I'm looking forward to tomorrow."

It isn't just One Life to Live's cameras that will capture Kardashian's soap opera debut. E! will also be rolling its cameras to capture material for its reality series, Kourtney and Kim Take New York. The upcoming Gotham-based saga is a spinoff of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians series.

Kardshian is the daughter of former O.J. Simpson attorney Robert Kardashian and Kris Jenner. She and sisters Khloe and Kim are well-known socialites.

Kardashian's first scenes will air in March 2011.

Damn, I posted this like one minute after you. I assume my topic will get deleted so I will post here.

I'm really excited! I LOVE me some Kourtney ! I hope she is a good actress. I wonder if she's in more than once episode? Maybe a few episode arc?

I assume she's filming scenes WAY out of order. She is in New York with Kim filming their spinoff show, therefore she is filming OLTL NOW because this is the only time of year she will reside in NYC, most likely.

It's a storyline just involving a couple characters (Blair, Cristian, and Kourt's character), so they can film way ahead of time without worrying about continuation errors.

I think she would have fit in better when the show had campier characters. Tina, for instance.

I guess at least she won't have to have scenes with Stacey.

It would have been fun though to see her with Kim. "Everyone tells me I look like a Kardshian." "No...you don't."

I was gonna say Carl, they should have had her play Kim. ^_^ I'm just glad it's Kourtney and not the *other* Kim who though beautiful is the biggest hypocritical famewhore of them all who sold her body and soul to be a "star".

Kourtney is a dud. All she did was get knocked up, at least Kim is pretty and the other one is crazy.

Anyways, as for the big scoop...uggh.

I don't know why any of these sisters get so much attention, although Kim is pretty, if extremely vacant. The only time I enjoy seeing them is when Go Fug Yourself talks about them.

Yeah, Kourtney as OLTL's Kim, or Clint thinking it's Kim, might have been more interesting. And if they did have her as Kim it would be a way to wrap up that story, since I doubt Setton will return (and if she did they would just have her as another sycophant to Todd/John/Rex/Fords anyway).

      I’m glad Tripp is back in Salem and I like that he’s planning on being more assertive. He doesn’t deserve to get hurt again. Though I wouldn’t be surprised if some people in the Soap Universe are gonna be mad about his lines today Hopefully, we get some scenes of Johnny/Tripp and Wendy/Chanel. There haven’t been that many lately and this storyline definitely needs them. I think weaving Talia into it would be a good idea as well. She needs a new man now that the Colin storyline is over.  Rafe is still dumb. There really are no security cameras at that hospital that could have shown that Colin didn’t take Abe?? Speaking of Abe, his storyline is total ff material. James Reynolds deserves so much better than this.

      I've been rewatching early SATC (am mid-season 2), and am enjoying the mid-90s indie film vibe of the show at that time. It was a bit tougher and grittier but it also showed some of the growing wealth of the city at that time. SATC was always about pecking order and jostling for a better position, but on the romantic frontlines. I also enjoyed the Bad Dating SLs LOL. I understand why it went the fairytale-ish route. Part of this mirrored the evolution of the city itself, as Manhattan became more moneyed and, dare I say, unaffordable. It was a glamorous city that many aspired to live in and conquer against the odds. Part of it was also, as the show progressed, our own growing investment in the main cast and their SLs. Hence less standalone episodes and more a continuing soapy story of romantic relationships. IMO, this was a fairly organic evolution.

      Lanier is fine but I miss Hunter King as well. A lot of the material AL is struggling with currently HK would’ve had an easier time playing, she could knock out those bratty whiny freakout moments with little effort. AL’s Summer should be written as icier and more indignant.

      Seeing Harris Faulkner trend the last few nights for shameless propaganda on Faux News, I watched a clip or two, and she is better at selling it than Tucker, Hannity, Watters, and so on. Yet she's never going to be accepted by that fanbase, for two reasons.
