November 10, 201015 yr Member It's the situation at ABC which, I think, demonstrates why DAYS deserves its pickup. DAYS doesn't have the luxury of other soap revenue to compensate for budgetary issues. Nor does it have a revenue partner (like Y&R and B&B under the Bell umbrella) to share production costs. DAYS has done it all on its own and it's survived on its own. Amen! If it didn't come across before, let me make it clear(er): this is fantastic news, and I'm glad to hear something positive going on in the industry. No, DAYS is not in the best of shape, story-wise, but a two-year renewal gives them a chance to improve, and that's still better than nothing!

This is just what this dying industry needs right now. And the fact that DAYS can plan ahead and not live on a year-to-year basis can only mean good things for the show (hopefully).
November 11, 201015 yr Member At the very least, I think the team should be able to map out the perfect two-year umbrella story that, at best, can bring up the ratings in a big way; or at worst, can be resolved neatly and happily in time for the show's final episode(s).
