Soap Stars on Game Shows ( Why don't they do that anymore?)

Networks don't own game shows anymore--CBS aside, so it wouldn't make any sense to cross promote. (and the thought of soap stars on Price is Right or Let's Make a Deal is silly) I could see Jeopardy though maybe doing it...

Yeah i agree, It would have to be the vets competeting, not that the younger stars shouldn't be on them, its just that the vets give more of a familiar vibe to the audience i guess, so I defenitely agree. It would be nice to see Melody Thomas Scott on a new version of "Pyradmid" since she was always a known regular back in the day.or Doug Davidson and John McCook leading their teams on a new family feud challenge.

Why would a game show use vets--they are too old and would tank demos. Young people don't wanna watch a bunch of old crones stiff with botox play Bingo. They could drive down to the local Sr. Center if they wanted to view that.

The ratings for TPIR were higher with Bob Barker than with Drew Carey and the show's "hip" new format.

Wayne Brady has awful demos in 18-49.

Sarcasm does not become you. ;-)

(Besides, what makes you think "young people" watch any game show to begin with? Sure, they watched TPIR, but for three reasons: 1) it was/is scheduled at the perfect time: right between their morning classes, when they could take a break in the student lounge; 2) Bob Barker was boss, especially with all those "Barker Beauties" running around; and 3) Americans will watch anyone, young or old, lose their mind over free [!@#$%^&*].)

Drew Carey has to be the worst game show host ever. I am not even 100% certain he is alive, for all the energy he shows. It is as if we are watching a dead body propped up while a depressed ventriloquist speaks off camera. I don't know what the hip new format is because the show is impossible to watch, but Bob Barker at 90 would be better than this guy.

Oooh, thanks for those Carl!! I think I saw those episodes on GSN a few years ago. I think there was another daytime tournament with SuLu where she earned the 200 points in Fast Money all by herself.
