August 5, 201213 yr Member My only wish is that while Ann is out offering to Harris snatch that only Bobby is stupid enough to want on a permanent basis, the person walking off that plane is escorting Pamela back to Dallas. I can't imagine what male character we have not seen would be that important that we need to see him walking off of a plane in the preview. Please let it be Pam walking behind him! My guess is that the Venezuelans come to claim Southfork on behalf of THEIR boss, who happens to be Cliff Barnes. And the season ends with Cliff owning Southfork.
August 5, 201213 yr Member Jordana Brewster and Julie Gonzalo were on talking about Dallas and how it is a perfect fit with TNT. Jordana talked about her time on ATWT and how said she was that it was no longer on the air and hoped that daytime soaps return again someday. They mentioned how both were hooked on telenovelas and how they liked there was a beginning, middle and ending. Julie discuss how she ran into 3 fans of the new show...mother, daughter and grandmother who were also fans of the original show. My guess is that the Venezuelans come to claim Southfork on behalf of THEIR boss, who happens to be Cliff Barnes. And the season ends with Cliff owning Southfork. That would be good and I think that is what is going to happen. Ken said the cliffhanger would be great....he was gushing about it so it must include him. Edited August 5, 201213 yr by Soapsuds
August 6, 201213 yr Member I want the villain to be Mitch Cooper. He will finally get revenge on the Ewings for being made to feel like a parking lot attendant and forced to live in the Ewing Condo against his will.
August 6, 201213 yr Member I forgot to mention but I didnt expect the whole Marta/Veronica murder to be wrapped up so quickly. I definetly thought it would last more than one episode Im starting to like Rebecca
August 6, 201213 yr Member I'm one episode behind, but I have to ask - who else is burried on Southfork besides Miss Ellie and Jock? There were four graves in a scene when Bobbie comes to visit Miss Ellie's grave.
August 6, 201213 yr Member Loved the latest episode. I just feel the cast is too small, there's no B Storyline going on. Linda Gray's role has been expanded, thankfully, I hope to see that continue in Season 2. We need more of the original cast, more Lucy, more Sue Ellen, more JR...

The cast is too small and there is only one story. There is a claustrophobic element to the show and it sometimes feel like the cast exists in a world where no one else lives.

There is a claustrophobic element to the show and it sometimes feel like the cast exists in a world where no one else lives. Exactly! Claustrophobic is the perfect word for it. It's like the show exists in a void, the Cattle Baron's Ball and John Ros/Lucy lunch scenes were the only ones where the show wasn't living in its own little world. One story is not enough for a serial, while I have enjoyed the show as a whole, I have not enjoyed watching one story exclusively.
August 6, 201213 yr Member thats what I said from the first episode. They need to add more characters that arent Ewings. Unfortunately the show failed to really create and develop any minor characters that I could see expanded in season 2. They need to add like 3-4 new people
August 6, 201213 yr Member They need to add more Ewings. Plus, it's kind of pathetic that the old gang is the thing that I'm looking forward to see every Thursday. Christoper and Elena are boring, Rebecca bland, John Ross is a good character, but Henderson can't act.

They need to add like 3-4 new people That's where we disagree, I think they need more Ewings. The non-Ewings can be recurring guest stars to support the storyline, but I want to see Ewings and lots of them.

He I guess they want to be seen as a new Jeremy Wendell. One thing about old Dallas was it's company of stock players who never got stories but showed up year after year with regularity to help fill out that world. Dallas would not have been Dallas without Marilee Stone, Harve Smithfield, Punk Anderson, Jordan Lee, Sly, Phyllis and Jackie and the other secretaries. Even people like Donna's once a year son-in-law Dave Culver and the maitre' d of the Cattleman's Club and the club itself were always consistent. (I forget her name now, sorry, but it was something unexpected)
