She was the African American detective on the show in the late 80's/early 90's who was often helping Paul and his father solve crimes (Mainly the George Rawlins Murder) I believe she was kind of a replacement to the character Amy who was also working for Paul in the 80's. The original actress to play Salena was Fay Hauser. On the episodes where she is replaced by this Candy Ann Brown woman, She is helping other detectives bust Danny for his possession of cocaine.
