According to AWHP, James DePaiva auditioned for Jamie Frame in 1986

I wonder what that might have been like. Larry Lau was not was I was looking for in Jamie. Would DePaiva's Jamie have been more sensitive?

Probably more roguish.

Huh. My first thought was "roguish" sounded more like Charles Grant as Evan, which reminded me that a few months ago I had found that clipping from late 1985 that mentioned that AW had been talking to him then. They didn't have anyone playing Jamie then but I thought they intended to create a new character for him rather than recast Jamie.

According to a Lynda Hirsch column Chris Robinson was in talks to play Bill Horton on Days in 87. But they felt he was not quite right  to play 30 yr old Mike's dad and instead NBC offered him the Jason role on AW.

Interesting, as Christopher Stone was a few years younger.

I always thought Robinson looked older than his age anyway.

A few years later he'd be cast as Hunter Tylo's father on B&B (the only soap role I enjoyed him in).

That was a mistake. That could've kept Bill central for a number of years, and yes, CR did look old enough.

This was already posted elsewhere, I think, but not here. GH's Rory Gibson said he tested for Vaughn before he was cast as Michael.

Jesus. What a bullet dodged.

Do not know if this was posted, but prior to being cast as Felicia Cummings on General Hospital in 1984, Kristina Wagner (then-Malandro) auditioned for All My Children and Ryan's Hope.

Brandon Claybon Reveals the Soap Role That Almost Changed His Career - Parade

Before landing his breakout role as Martin Richardson, Claybon revealed he was up for a series regular part on fellow CBS soap The Young and the Restless.

Claybon explained that his potential storyline would have paired him opposite Mishael Morgan’s character, Hilary Curtis. “I was supposed to play her love interest, but something happened, she died, and I think the baby died too in a car accident,” he recalled. “My role went up in thin air after that.”

Wow. Considering how proudly gay he is on BTG I cannot imagine that. I am glad he's stuck around and evolved onscreen - there is no other presence like his on daytime.

I do not remember his brief GH role in 2013 at all.

If anyone has access to the episode it was August 24, 2023.

A while back someone did post a clip from his GH episode. He was Curtis therapist when he was paralyzed.

I know in his primetime show Zatima he played straight. Seemed almost like a completely different person which is good for an actor but really surprised me.

Thank god she joined GH! Otherwise she wouldn’t have met her then husband and become so iconic!

but I Wonder if she would’ve worked on AMC. I could actually see her there tbh
