This is after Mary-Ellis Bunim became executive producer. His announcements were much like Dan McCullough's. [*]Opening titles--"As the World Turns. This portion brought to you today by..." (although beginning in the 1990s, Procter & Gamble began to decrease their sponsorship of the program for some days of the week, even though they themselves were the producers. So, on such days, Region would only announce the title of the program right before the first commercial break.) During the O.J. Simpson trial, the title sequence was shortened.[*]Mid-program break: "This portion of As the World Turns has been brought to you today by (name and description of sponsor). We'll continue with Part II of As the World Turns in just a moment."[*]Lead-in to second half—either "And now Part II of As the World Turns!", or "And now we continue with Part II of As the World Turns!" (the second half from 1981 forward was, for the most part, not officially sponsored, or if it was, it was not a P&G product.)[*]Lead-in to next-to-last commercial break: eliminated possibly after the show expanded to one hour.[*]Closing credits--"Stay tuned for Search for Tomorrow (February 1982 – March 26, 1982) Capitol (March 29, 1982 to March 20, 1987), or Guiding Light (March 23, 1987 to at least the end of the announcer era.) "next on most of these CBS stations.", or "Join us again tomorrow/This is Dan Region, inviting you to join us again Monday for As the World Turns." Possibly after the show went into color, or at least by 1972, more than one sponsor was plugged at the opening, midbreak and closing. Directors: Paul Lammers----My favorite of all time! Members Khan
Yeah, but we shouldn't "honor" every ATWT actor, past and present. Just the ones who made a real impact, I think.

Members Paul Raven
That list of headwriters puzzles me as Irna did not leave the show until late 69/early 70. I have seen that list in various places and wonder why it is never questioned. I would imagine Katherine Babecki was a co writer who replaced Bill Bell when he left to write Days. Also,it is odd to see Katherine Phillips (irna's daughter) listed as headwriter in 1970.At this time she was headwriter of A World Apart, which debuted in March. I doubt she would have been involved with ATWT at this time, although I have read she was involved in ATWT prior to this date. Does anyone have more info? Members Limenade
I wasn't watching ATWT in 1970 (too young!), but I kind of understand your question. I wonder if Irna was doing consulting type of work behind the scene while her daughter's name got the credit as the HW. Based on what I recall from reading Christopher Schemering's account, wasn't this time-frame when Irna got upset at the "quad" of Dan, Paul, Elizabeth and Susan, which led to the killing off of Paul Stewart and Liz Talbot?
