September 28, 201015 yr Member I think this show is just OK. It doesn't remind me of Lost even a tiny bit. My concern is that they've played the alien card. Sci-Fi shows don't seem to be in favor on broadcast TV these days. So far, I feel sort of bad for Sophia and her people, but I wonder if the show is going to try to teach us some moral lesson on terrorism. I hope not because I have a feeling that would be a show killer. Edited September 28, 201015 yr by Juliajms
September 30, 201015 yr Member I admit the alien element made me immediately think the show was doomed even sooner than I expected... After two eps something is still missing for me. I guess it's the characters or relationships--the actual plot has enough drive.
October 1, 201015 yr Member The focus should be more on Sophia then on the Jason Ritter character. She's interesting and her character (caught between her people and humans) could be an interesting character to focus on. jmho.
October 5, 201015 yr Member On NBC, "The Event" (7.5 million, 2.4) was down 17% from last week during its first half hour and 20% during its second. It fell 33% from its premiere. "Chase" (5.8 million, 1.7) dropped 16.5% on average from last week.
October 19, 201015 yr Author Administrator Got picked up for a full season! We made it through the first hurdle. Hopefully the ratings will be decent enough for a second season.
October 19, 201015 yr Member All I hear is how atrociously stupid it is and is getting worse with every episode.
October 21, 201015 yr Member Yep, the quality has been falling after the first two episodes. I agree with some posters saying that the show should wrap up in one season.
