Soaps In Depth has learned that Michael Graziadei has inked a new deal to continue playing THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS' Daniel for another year! But with the rumored exit of Adrienne Frantz as Amber in the coming weeks, which lovely lady will be next to catch Daniel's eye?

If he's going to sign a contract can it be a multi year one. This one year stuff pisses me off, it comes across as pilot season didn't go so well. No more art storylines (unless he gets to draw Billy and JT naked)!

I don't think I can deal with another story of Phyllis being painted as a victim of evil Sharon seducing her little boy. Like Sharon choose anyone but Nick at this point.

I don't think they ever knew what to do with Daniel and Amber. At one point, in early 2008, before he started with Colleen, I thought they worked. After that it all was a screechy mess and when they got to the Deacon story and finally Amber shrieking over Little D of the vanishing birthdays, it was beyond repair.

I don't think they'd have to make Sharon evil in this story. I'd see it as sort of a reverse of the OLTL story where Dorian seduced Joey to get to Viki. Phyllis would think that Sharon was doing this to get back at her, when actually Sharon just had a chemistry with Daniel and they enjoyed spending time together. I know they would probably turn it into more Sharon mental illness or Nick the victim or whatever but I just can't take any more Shick, they make me sick.

I like Daniel after the recast of Lily then that porn stuff they did him wrong in so many ways.

I always picture Daniel & DSLily starting a business together as a young couple. I thought it would be a good adventure for them before they throw in foolishness like cheating. It's other ways to break up a couple.
