Members EricMontreal22
HAHA I could see that happening But really that's not even slightly the same issue. THIS is how most people celebrate St Patty's. If not much much worse.
Members EricMontreal22
As a Sondheim fan, may I just say THIS should be what they're doing their musical ep based around. It's the best theatre composer of all time's 80th this month, after all.
Members All My Shadows
And that's what it all boils down to. If what OLTL showed was a total anomaly, something that doesn't really happen in most bars across the country, something that was mostly cooked up in the dopey and lame mind of Ronald Carlivati, then it'd be something to look at more closely. But I see absolutely nothing wrong with accurately portraying the barroom festivities of St. Patrick's Day. If they have a problem with people always associating SPD with drinking, then address that, not the fact that a TV show decided to portray that. This is almost -- allllllllmost -- as bad as the Native American mascot thing, which, as a proud graduate of a high school whose mascot is the brave, pisses me off to no end. Members EricMontreal22
I think it's even worse (they didn't even SHOW a leprechaun or anything that might be seen as "irish") but yeah--totally agreed.
