@Taoboi Plot thickens. Hitmaka did an interview 3 weeks ago and confirmed that Drew Sidora was his girlfriend and cheated on her. So both she and Brit dated the same guy. Chile....

Between this tea and the divorce we are watching unfold on our screens, Drew really is a lot more interesting than some give her credit for. She's undercover, too. She had Brit in her sights all this time and we never even picked up on it!

And if she did supply Kenya with the evidence, why is Kenya the only one banished? Why is Production bending over backwards to accommodate a pistol-threatening newbie in her sob story? I still say Kenya should have stayed on the show and allow the chips to fall where they may. People's past always come back to haunt them. Especially on RH. It's about whether a HW can own it and move on that's the important part.

Very suspicious... and I also thought it was suspicious how hard Drew is fighting for the divorce documents to be sealed.  She keeps saying she has nothing to hide on her side, and only wants to protect Ralph so the kids don't know about what he's done... but everything supposedly in the documents about Ralph is all stuff she's accusing him of on-screen.  It doesn't add up... she's hiding something about herself in those documents that she doesn't want out.

bc right now its all alleged and  it wasnt anything known during filming. People are just starting to piece things together bc of Porsha's video and Anthony, her fomer assistant speaking on the issue. The internet sleuths are no digging. With that said even if productioni knew it was her, thats no a reason to fire Drew. Supplying Kenya with the info isnt really wrong a punishable offense. Kenya chose to use it the way she did. If it is in fact Drew,  can see Brit having this moment at the reunion

I still think the reason why Kenya was fired was because the big shocking reveal was done outside the parameters of Housewives. If it had been done in a self-contained environment, a Dinner Party from Hell: Part 867 type of situation, they could've handled it with their own editing and behind the scenes scolding.

I mean, didn't SLC's Mary call Lisa's son retarded or something? Yet we never saw the light of day on that and it didn't ever get a mention.

She really does. I agree with what an online tweeter says when it comes to Drew. Outside of her first season (debatedly), Drew always seem like background in the first half of the season, but she always has story/drama/mess to give during the second half of the season.

I just feel Production has had Kenya in its sights since she gave that interview with Carlos King. Thus why they are backing Brit. Isn't that why they hired her anyway? Allegedly.

Ain't that the truth. re: truth coming out. Another reason that Brit is getting such blowback. She is handling her past all wrong. And now they are coming for her husband with that Tasha K interview.

Allegedly. Production edited out the fight over their kids and the aftereffects from it since it was said it was Mary vs Lisa for the rest of the season.

Oh, I don't think Drew should be fired for providing that info either. I'm debating whether Kenya should have been fired in the first place, but you are right, we (and maybe Bravo) did not have all the pieces of the puzzle back then. It is only with the input of the audience watching at this moment in time that other info is coming out.

Agree with both of you. Kenya has been critical of Bravo quite openly, and (implicitly) of Andy Cohen. She basicly said (as did Nene) that RHOA built the Bravo house but gets shafted in favor of BH. And even within RHOA she has called out production favoritism. Both parties were not happy with the other. Bravo was looking for a reason, I think.

Brit did that webcam stuff when she was a grown adult, and admitted it was not a big deal at the time. She later tried to scrub it from the internet when she wanted to reinvent herself and I get that, but now that it is out there, viewers will respect soneone more when they cop to it [(c) Luann] and admit they've made mistakes. She could have shut Kenya down right there for trying to shame her publicly (a tactic Kenya has often used with women in the past). Instead she's boohooing over a  vast number of episodes and months about the deep trauma inflicted on her. Give me a break and own up to your part.

How on earth has this ageing, smokey piece of gristle managed to snag a younger DoritBot? Does he have money again all of a sudden?

Rumor is that after this news item came out, Dorit officially filed for divorce, but it is just a rumor at present.

    • Yes. I don't know if Lenore was ever asked. Then it became a nun. Thanks. I didn't realize it was in 1987. That timeline doesn't make a lot of sense even if she would have had Ed to interact with. If they didn't ask her back in 1989 and she was willing, what a stupid error. The attempts at these feuds, or even the whole families tied together stuff like Maryanne Carruthers, never had any real impact because of how depleted the Bauers felt even by the mid '80s. And instead of expanding them, which would have been common sense, various producers were just too lazy, or too ashamed, and kept bringing on other families, or bringing in too many people at one time and not knowing how to write for them (the Spauldings in the McTavish era - as SOD said at the time, everyone in the family had the same personality).
    • Wasn't there talk of them bringing back Rita as Gus' mother at one point? Or something?
    • I think they are a part of the same family, although Carla was never really scheming for the same reasons, and once her double life was exposed, she stopped.
    • Rachel/Ada, Mona/Erica, a mother/daughter at LOVING, these are all examples of the Agnes Nixon "troublesome daughter/put upon mother" trope. Are Carla/Sadie by any chance one of the pairs that make up this trope? Another thing that these 2 shows might have in common. OLTL had a very strong thematic approach to socioeconomic differences between groups of people. Class differences. AW at an earlier point had this too but to be clear it was not as much as OLTL. So that is a similarity but marginal.  Besides that, I see no other comparable things. Paul Rauch was a very different EP at different shows. Oh, I've thought of one more thing. Using actors from the Broadway stage.  But, realistically that was something all of the NY shows had in common. So I don't think it has any uniqueness between AW & OLTL.
    • When you look at the period between Sweeps, it's as if they tried to maintain a kind of pace where they had a lot of plates spinning in the air & on their fingertips & the whole goal was nothing but to not drop any of those plates. A version of spinning one's wheels. They're not getting anywhere but they give the appearance of a whole lot of activity. I believe it's all about this appearance. At moments they accidentally hit a chord & something resonates but it is a false event.

    • I’m not speculating anything, but I admit, I’m getting a little worried about James Reynolds.
    • I feel like this is what they're doing by creating lots of storylines but their biggest weakness for years is the inability to properly pace these stories and give resolution. A good example now would be the Gio story which has been simmering for months with very little movement. I went from not caring to being invested to not caring again because of how long it's taking for the secret to be revealed. One story like that would be fine but it seems like everything moves at this snails pace on GH. They need to do a better job of rotating the stories so everything isn't in that same treading water phase.
    • However, those of us who watch DAYS have been spoiled. On Peacock there are no preemptions. Not for anything & not in or about any show.  I read somewhere that we Baby Boomers in a way invented instant gratification but then we realized that it was not fast enough.
