YES! Amen. Kenya was fire from episode 1... take 1. Her introduction with the modeling agency and her telling that girl she doesn't want to see her crack in the front and in the back... and then asking for SECURITY to escort a man WORKING for the agency... WAS ICONIC level from the start.

I AM now actually feeling like I need to go back and re-watch these seasons. Kenya's first 3 seasons are TOP RHOA.

RHOA

All this talk about Kenya and I still haven't even talked about last episode and its aftermath. LOL.

I agree with the majority. It was a pretty good episode, but it was also disjointed at the same time. All the stuff having to do with the aftermath fell flat for me. Why? Because it was Production selling Brit the Victim...which does not fly for me because I'm Team Kenya and saw what went down. And Brit did not help her case at all by episode's end when she did exactly what she did before...just on another cast member. Victim...WHERE??  Not to mention not having Kenya's point of view.

Outside of that, the episode got going. I enjoyed seeing the individual scenes...some more than others. And then we had Kelli's Peace Brunch which was anything, but. And Brit vs Angela...Lord. Ms. Angela...had me hollering. And the ending with the dancing just left a sour taste in my mouth. So it's case by case for me going forward.

PORSHA. She should be worried. She did not do anything worthwhile this episode. And then she bowed out of the Peach Brunch. And the audience got to see what the show would be like without her...and...it was GOOD. And this was all newbies and two vets doing great without the 'star.' Again, she should be worried.

DREW. Yeah, her dress at the Peach Brunch was a NO. But I loved that she got her little digs in on Brit. Cuz Brit stayed using Kenya's phrases rather than make her own 'moments.' Just saying.

Meanwhile, we got a little bit of drama with her and Tampa Ralph. And nice to see her sister.

SHAMEA. Hehe...not her and Angela tag-teaming Brit. I did love that. But while I felt the dancing at the end fell flat, I did love that Shamea was trying to be peacemaker.

KELLI. I loved her Peace Brunch. She had it so organized. And she had SECURITY! Come through, Baby Kenya!!  My only sadness for her was the fact she was being a good friend to a bad person. And her storyline with her ex-husband. Poor Chloe. I was just sad for her that that 'man' is such a dead-beat to treat a child like that.

ANGELA. OMG!!! I knew she was going to be a dark horse, but WOOOOOW. She was EVERYTHING this episode. Her poking holes in Brit's attempts to smear Kenya's name more was superb. And then she started to gather her with the insurance tea. And then her 'thought so' took me out. She was so enjoyable.

BRIT.

Outside of her admitting to the scrubbing...which is just common sense frankly...I was not here for her and Production damage control. Moreso because she's either lying or just doubling down period rather than her taking her own kind of accountability. Not helped by her trying to play victim in order to deflect for the parts of the incident that are HER fault. And to make it worse...she still keeps the name 'Kenya' in her mouth. Usually every other sentence. Everyone else in the cast moved on enough that they can focus on their own stories. Meanwhile...Brit don't have jack other than a 'feud.' I loved Angela calling her out.

KENYA. So they cut the rest of her scenes I see.

Let's see where tonight goes...

Again... f*ck Brit Eady!

When she breathes she lies. And she lied throughout this episode, too. So I thought the clips Kenya supposedly showed were of her underage? Now they were webcam pics when you were in your 20s? Girl, pick lane.

That aside, we all need to thank Angela as she is carrying this stale show. Angela should've been cast eons ago. She would've thrived in old RHOA.

Porsha just wants to fight, and I think the audience is over it. You know they are over it when they are starting to side with Drew over her. But this is the icing on the cake for this season--now the audience gets to see the real Porsha (even though they should've deduced that from her spinoff). She can no longer hide behind the likes of Kenya, Nene, Marlo, or Sheree.

It's such a pity that we lost Kenya FOR THIS. I mean... it's such a joke. At least if this was more of a big deal type of thing... I would get it... But we lost the queen of the show for this piece of sh-t. WTF.

Have finally caught up on ATL and the Kenya Konfessional (which, I must admit, was compelling, comprehensive and fire) made me miss Kenya's presence in the last two episodes of the show itself.

Kenya was right about not backing down in front of bullies because they only understand the language of power, and that's the language she understood growing up.

It is crazy to me that Brit would want her gone when Brit's entire reason for existing on RHOA depends on Kenya being there. Without her, the ex 'webcam girl' is just bitchin into the wind. Boo hoo. Her husband looks totally over it. So does Angela who does not give a sh!t what anyone thinks of her and won't be intimidated into backing down. Angela is a really great addition to the cast.

Imagine if Kenya had a sitdown with Cynthia about why she did what she did, called Cynthia out for not having her back (Cynthia would have answered that she didn't support what Kenya did and she wasn't going to lie to her about it). Imagine if Production arranged it so that Kenya and Brit had a big old sit-down, Caroline Manzo and Danielle styles. Imagine if Porsha had to choose between inviting Kenya or Brit to the Nashville trip. (And we know who Porsha would have chosen! She seems thrilled to have Kenya gone so she can be sole Queen Bee. But as usual, too much Porsha is not always a good thing, and her domineering, controling, prone-to-anger personality starts seeping through. Porsha has autocratic tendencies and is always about presenting a carefully curated image. Last episode 'crying' about how the Simon she knew was only a persona cements my view that Porsha found out there wasn't nearly as much money as she thought and quickly disengaged).

(Speaking of presenting a carefully curated image -- Drew! That was quite a thrilling segment of Drew and Ralph rushing to Court. Drew wanted the divorce details sealed and now they will be unsealed. I wandered what she was worried about in there).

Back to Kenya and Brit. Both women have beef with the other that needed to be laid out on the table. The fact that the cast or the cast + Production decided to stop filming with Kenya IMO punishes one person over the other --and Brit started it, quite honestly, with a constantly-repeated pistol threat that Bravo refused to take seriously. They should take any and every pistol threat seriously! Brit should have AT LEAST been docked a few episodes + pay to teach her a lesson that running your mouth has financial and participatory consequences (and i imagine money and the platform this show affords are important to that insecure loudmouth).

Kenya was reacting to that lack of protection so she wanted to put Brit in her place. And if there photos are readily available on the web from Brit's webcam past... Brit needs to just own it and not act like Kenya just killed her firstborn. She's not in mourning here. If it was no big deal when she and a friend first did the webcam, why is it a big deal now?

I don't know if Kenya has closed the door on returning by speaking out. I hope not. For me, the show only really works with both OGs and newbies mixed together. Which is why I wonder how the next 11-12 episodes will pan out. Bringing Cynthia and later Phaedra back suggests to me that Production was worried that the cast couldn't hold it together? We are only at episode 7 and the big, juicy stuff has happened. I will keep watching, though, as this is so far RHOA's most entertaining season in a couple of years.

To be fair to her she never used the wod underage; Porsha did. Last week she said she did a video with an ex when she was in high school and webcam in her 20s. I do think she's lying though about only doing that for 1 week and her not doing porn. If she was nude and doing sexual acts on webcam, then thats still considered porn.

Angela is definitely carrying this show

Porsha was insufferable. This was a work trip and if she didnt want Drew around on her bday then celebrate off camera

I just saw this on IG and it made me think, have they not started filming for Potomac yet?  For some reason I just assumed they had.  Ugh, we won't get that show back again for awhile if that's the case.

I did see that Candiace also made a cryptic post about being at the NBC studios... rumors flying that she will be back next season.

Ya'll need to leave her alone! Why is she catching strays...LOL

I dont think its started filming yet but letters have ben sent out. I think Ashley and Keiarna are the only two confirmed to return, though we can assume Gizelle will be back. There was a blogpost going around last week that Jassi wont be

Ahhh!  I'm very surprised Keiarna is coming back.  I thought consensus was that she was a  housewife flop who didn't get featured much, and her husband didn't even want to be filmed.  Didn't they even scrap him at the reunion and never got him to come out, or am I thinking of a different househusband?  Anyway I bet her salary is probably cheap, so maybe that's why she's staying.

    • Yes. I don't know if Lenore was ever asked. Then it became a nun. Thanks. I didn't realize it was in 1987. That timeline doesn't make a lot of sense even if she would have had Ed to interact with. If they didn't ask her back in 1989 and she was willing, what a stupid error. The attempts at these feuds, or even the whole families tied together stuff like Maryanne Carruthers, never had any real impact because of how depleted the Bauers felt even by the mid '80s. And instead of expanding them, which would have been common sense, various producers were just too lazy, or too ashamed, and kept bringing on other families, or bringing in too many people at one time and not knowing how to write for them (the Spauldings in the McTavish era - as SOD said at the time, everyone in the family had the same personality).
    • Wasn't there talk of them bringing back Rita as Gus' mother at one point? Or something?
    • I think they are a part of the same family, although Carla was never really scheming for the same reasons, and once her double life was exposed, she stopped.
    • Rachel/Ada, Mona/Erica, a mother/daughter at LOVING, these are all examples of the Agnes Nixon "troublesome daughter/put upon mother" trope. Are Carla/Sadie by any chance one of the pairs that make up this trope? Another thing that these 2 shows might have in common. OLTL had a very strong thematic approach to socioeconomic differences between groups of people. Class differences. AW at an earlier point had this too but to be clear it was not as much as OLTL. So that is a similarity but marginal.  Besides that, I see no other comparable things. Paul Rauch was a very different EP at different shows. Oh, I've thought of one more thing. Using actors from the Broadway stage.  But, realistically that was something all of the NY shows had in common. So I don't think it has any uniqueness between AW & OLTL.
    • When you look at the period between Sweeps, it's as if they tried to maintain a kind of pace where they had a lot of plates spinning in the air & on their fingertips & the whole goal was nothing but to not drop any of those plates. A version of spinning one's wheels. They're not getting anywhere but they give the appearance of a whole lot of activity. I believe it's all about this appearance. At moments they accidentally hit a chord & something resonates but it is a false event.

    • I’m not speculating anything, but I admit, I’m getting a little worried about James Reynolds.
    • I feel like this is what they're doing by creating lots of storylines but their biggest weakness for years is the inability to properly pace these stories and give resolution. A good example now would be the Gio story which has been simmering for months with very little movement. I went from not caring to being invested to not caring again because of how long it's taking for the secret to be revealed. One story like that would be fine but it seems like everything moves at this snails pace on GH. They need to do a better job of rotating the stories so everything isn't in that same treading water phase.
    • However, those of us who watch DAYS have been spoiled. On Peacock there are no preemptions. Not for anything & not in or about any show.  I read somewhere that we Baby Boomers in a way invented instant gratification but then we realized that it was not fast enough.
