Last season was their debut season... no time to be coy or be subtle.

Erin went all out on her pot stirring and went OTT in her reactions to being called out.

Brynn wisely showed us NYC with her playing chess, going to Central Park, hanging with her brother, hanging with her ex, and showing us a few cool stores.  She did what she was good at... playing on her sad backstory.

Now that we're in the sophomore year.. Brynn's type of pot stirring can now be done

I felt Erin thought she was just going to be coming in and running things with Sai. And the other ladies went...WAIT A MINUTE!!!  Which made the gang-up  on her on the cast trip great. But I do agree...she went OTT in her reactions when they called her out. Only to be reduced to tears.

We shall see.

i actually forgot this was premiering on Tuesday but ended up watching today. It wasn’t the best premiere but it wasn’t the worst.

I was reminded that I really don’t like this cast outside of Jessel. I did enjoy the new full time housewife.

Seems like Brynn is going to be in the hot seat all season.

Just finished episode 2 and agree with all of this.

I honestly saw straight through Heather DURING season 1. I honestly had hoped the season 1 reunion where she was completely unhinged would’ve opened more people’s eyes to Heather but it didn’t.

I’m officially a fan of Bronwyn. Anyone that doesn’t like Heather is okay with me and Bronwyn truly held her own tonight with both Lisa and Heather. I’m so glad she called these bitches out.

Mary is having a great season so far. Love the friendship she and Angie developed off camera.

Much like you @Taoboi I was a fan of early seasons Lisa but now she’s just doing too much constantly. She’s on a 10 anytime you call her out and it’s exhausting already.

For me, it was during S1. Heather was such a doormat to Jen, but I just couldn't connect the words of self-deprecation she was saying with her confident smirk. So I figured she was playing victim. The S1 finale confirmed it, as did reunion. She was OTT in her self-righteous indignation.

This is one reason I've had a hard time connecting with SLC sometimes -- Jen Shah was awful from the first episode, Heather was always suspect, Lisa has never deviated from her innate vapidity, Whitney is nowhere near as smart & strategic as she thinks she is. I've always rated Meredith, though.

Even with me half distracted (early apologies if I missed something) WOOOOWW that episode was great!!! And I'm counting down to next week with Angie K vs Lisa. I thought it would be a nice slow burn of build, but we are already there. Alrighty then!!!

The start of the local cast trip was great from start to finish. From Mary not flying with those hoes and her connection to Jeffrey Dahmer to the mending of fences between Mary and Little Girl to Angie K stirring that pot oooooh so great with FriendofHeather to Heather's continued attempts to gaslight New Housewife...and failing to New Housewife not only reading Heather BUT LISA, TOO??? And I haven't even touched on Meredith trying to keep her petty feud with Little Girl going, but I'm going back to get the gist of it since it was part of one of the parts I was not paying attempt to (again early apologies I was life-ing a bit while watching). And on top of that, there was scenery, a bobblehead shop, and a sport game thing then, there was a lot going on. I never felt bored.

LISA. Yeah, just as we have been discussing. Lisa really does not at all like to be called out. And Angie K was just trying to warn her about that very flaw. But would Lisa listen? Of course not. I did like that she was at least enough of a friend to be clued into New Housewife being mad at her for not defending her (much) against Heather last week. Not that New Housewife was wrong...Lisa is totally Heather's master/Regina George so she could have easily spoken up more and the lapdog...I mean Heather would have STFU. So that I could get even though I felt New Housewife held her own anyway last week. And that New Housewife manipulated the other new FOH to get Lisa's issues out into the open was clever if shady. In the end, she was left speechless because what New Housewife said was true. The only redeeming quality Lisa had this week was letting the ladies and audience know about what is going on with her son.

MEREDITH. Oh, how I hollered at Seth shading Little Girl pre-trip. It has been hilarious to me that now that I thought about it...Meredith and Little Girl suuuure do like to imitate each other in Confessionals. Lol. Other than the part that I couldn't follow with her petty feud with Little Girl and her holding FOHeather's hand as Angie K drop her tea on her...Meredith did not do much this episode.

ANGIE K. MVP!!! She got the ball rolling with that tea about the FOHeather and the fact that she and the Osmond aren't even together...according to him by the fact he was messaging a friend of Angie K. And that moment when she is stirring the pot by telling New Housewife literally while FOHeather is facetiming Osmond...CHEF'S KISS. Meanwhile, she and Mary continued to be a ki-ki. And add on her hot husband looking HOT this episode, she was winning. Messy.

MARY. The other MVP!!! She gave so much. Her scene with her son where he called her to borrow money was a hoot. Her and Angie are great to watch...one scene that took me out was her in the background cheering and watching the game as New Housewife vs Heather/Lisa went down...I was hollering. And like I mentioned, her and Little Girl mending fences and she taking her and the others to the Bobblehead shop was a wow moment. Of course, Mary's new target was FOHeather so of course Little Girl is forgiven. Looking forward to her dancing with the drag queens next week.

LITTLE GIRL. Has been enjoyable. I almost want to call her by her real name. And how she does not care about Heather's attempt to get her against New Housewife is hilarious even when Heather is using her as the excuse to come for New Housewife.

HEATHER. At this point...they really should run Monica a check given how they find ways to show her/mention her. And Heather this week was trying to make fetch happen...and it WAS NOT HAPPENING. The humor is forced. The Confessionals are stale. And what she thought would work on New Housewife (and her 15 minutes of fame off Monica's back to be a Big Bad) continued to not land. Heather, your last name is not Dubrow. I don't know what made her think she could ever win in a battle of words with someone richer than her and who can articulate better than her, but she should have sat that fight out. New Housewife ate her up. There was no comeback that New Housewife did not know a logical response to. It made Heather look stupid. Next time, when New Housewife tells you to come correct...you COME CORRECT.

NEW HOUSEWIFE. Was she messy? YES. Did I like it? Also YES. This was the very same  thing as last season. These ladies came for Monica over things they themselves like to do. And now here's someone above on their level saying the same thing and they still want to act brand new. I thought New Housewife handled herself extremely well. And I gasped when Production did that rollback to show her talking to the other FOH about how her, Heather, and Lisa was talking about her clothes behind her back. On one hand, it was sneaky since Lisa is her friend though it felt like genuine concern. On the other hand, well...everything New Housewife has been saying, she has made sure she also says it to the person's face. So is Production making her seem shady to make Heather look better, or is she for real in terms of being transparent. Time will tell. But she is playing this housewife game well. Or this episode.

Can't wait until next week.

Same. I was living for 'Bob' as some of us online call her.

Same. Mary even seems to be winning over so many of her online naysayers. Love to see it.

Yeah, I miss my Fabulous Ice, but it is what it is.

NuRHONY:

As lowkey as this premiere was, I am thrilled my insecure Millennial poptarts are back.

Too early to tell how the newbie will turn out (and it looks like Rebecca Minkoff is being almost entirely edited out of the season), but I'm good with the dynamics between Sai, Brynn, Erin, Jenna and Jessel. Sai is owning it somewhat, so I'll give her props, even though her blow-up at Brynn at the end reminded me of the old, performatively-outraged Sai looking to blame someone else.

Looks like Brynn is the villain this season -- or at least, Erin and Sai are super-eager to paint her the villain. I still enjoy her, and her new apartment is seriously one of the best single-girl apartments I have seen on a RH show. The design alone is Chef's Kiss.

Erin is Erin, superbly self-centered, but the tension with Abe is a new twist.

Pavit still entertains the hell out of me.

    • I know! It's like second verse, here we go again!  Agreed. Certainly there was concern maybe even fear at the highest levels for the very good reason that what they had was so economically successful, so of course this risk was scary but if anyone was brave she was. Yes, he was. I have seen her associated with getting it on the air one other place but no details nor official title. Not the writer or creator so it made me wonder if she functioned as a kind of uncredited ad hoc producer, but then maybe she just supported it. At any rate that is nothing but supposition on my part. No data! Yes, not a surprise anymore but still so frustrating! On one hand I am appreciative that she is included in this book, but scholarship where are you?!
    • that wasnt her point. She wanted to further demonize Ted; that was the main focus of their talk. She wants to ensure that Nicole leaves him so that he's free and single to be with her. At this point, I dont think she really cares what Nicole thinks of her; she just wants her out of the way Eva is Nicole's stepdaughter and is a Dupree by association. If Nicole takes Ted back then its reasonable that she would accept his daughter and i that happens, Eva will have welcomed to their country club, be invited to their parties, have access to their resources, etc....much like Andre whom also isnt a blood Dupree but is accepted by them via Nicole. Eva got what she got from Anita bc of Hayley. I think its important to remember that context bc they just dealt with an interloper that infiltrated their ranks and hurt her daughter in the worse way. Now you have another unfortunate girl positioned to do the same to her other daughter. The feelings are still too fresh and she doesnt want Eva to get the idea that she would ever be allowed the opportunity to play them again
    • Oh I've seem this! That's part of why I'm curious! The show could put EastEnders to shame on the gangster Aspect! Oh I've seem this! That's part of why I'm curious! The show could put EastEnders to shame on the gangster Aspect!
    • Eve was one of those characters that had the "Jessie Brewer"role. They had heavy storyline, they burned through it and now they are there for support and a touchstone in the community (Marland wanted to give Jessie story, but I agree with Monty...she best served in her connecting role, and keeping that damn Amy Vining busy so she keeps her nose out of things) So charcters are important and why they should have kept characters like Bridget around (even as she is more volatiles then Eve) who didnt need a big storyline but could have been behind the bar making connections and expostion, but Rauch wanted JEVA/JEVA/JEVA and DRAMA (which to him meant a lot of yelling and stupidity.)

    • A number of errors in the above article. You wonder how with all that research, how  they slipped through. I think they are conflating Women Alone with Lonely Women. I have never read anything of a serial called Women Alone. However,I am prepared to be proven wrong.   It seems Irna actually WAS interested in TV soaps as witnessed by These Are My Children airing in 1949 on NBC in the early days of TV.   I don't believe that was reluctance, rather simply good business sense as radio's dominance began to wane.   Inferring that was somehow connected to Irna who was off that show 10 years prior.   Again inferring that Phillips leaving 6 years prior had some connection to the eventual cancellation.     Again these two events are in fact one. Irna left ATWT only once in 1970 and returned in 72. She was not working on another P&G show at the time. So either she brought the ratings up or they dipped, depending on which above account you believe   Untrue. A World Apart debuted 5 years after she left AW. And AWA aired longer than a few months. Over a year in fact.   I believe Orin Tovrov was the writer. Irna was not involved in the creation of this show. And no mention of Masquerade an Irna serial  which was on air around this time.   TBD finished in 1962. As we see over and over, these inaccuracies are published and accepted as fact.
    • YES! While I objectively found the writing on RH (particularly during its first few years and then again in its final days) to be excellent, so many of the principle characters were unpleasant, and totally turned me off. I could never settle down and become emotionally involved with a group of people who grated on my nerves.
    • Ugh now we get a Emmerdale and Corrie crossover soon. ugh.. How desperate
    • This show is definitely not one to deserve the axe.  especially the New Year’s Eve episode was crazy wild! there is a place where u can download nearly all episodes from October 2019 til today. But they don’t accept new people. https://youtu.be/aD-IXEJjymU?si=19wtpwthSNYOe-4y   this is from this years winter break when the returned. I loved it
