Yeah I don't think anyone would seriously expect Margaery to survive it. BUT, if we were to entertain the idea, the fact that we saw High Sparrow disintegrate into nothingness while we didn't Margaery could, in some other show like Arrow, mean that she found an improbable way to get out of there in the nick of time and we just didn't see it. 

 

But, yeah, she's ashes. I don't see what further dramatic purpose she serves and using all those deaths to fuel Olenna's thirst for revenge is delicious.

 

 

By uniting do you mean as a couple/husband and wife? Because, based on info we have now, he's her nephew! lol Not that that means anything on this show. They might unite as "family."  

 

 

 

 

As for Daario, I think they've been doing an arc on how Dany has been changing and becoming colder and more ruthless. They've at least implied part of her ancestors' villainy may live inside her and could, potentially, take over. At this point, she's so close to getting what she wants, so Daario will be eliminated if he stands in her way for sure.

Way back when Khal Drogo died, I thought obviously Dany and Jon will marry and rule the seven kingdoms together. People may have died, but there will be a general restoration of the status quo I don't think that any more.

 

Then I thought Dany is bringing in a lot of people who haven't lived under the system of the seven kingdoms. The wildings are coming, so maybe this is about a new world order. Jon will sacrifice himself and Dany will rule. Now a lot of those new people are either dead or staying in Mareen. Some of them will be canon fodder for the Night's King, so I don't think that anymore either.

 

Now I think of Ramsey saying "If you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention".

I still think someone unlikely will rule in the end - our big heroes will do the heavy lifting to stop the Night's King, but none of them will sit on the Iron Throne long. I think most of them will fade away, die in battle or go off somewhere. My bet is on someone like a well-managed and well-counseled King Gendry of all people, the humble commoner boy who is an acceptable and stable Baratheon face. Maybe with Sam Tarly as his Maester, or Tyrion or Bran as his Hand (shades of Brynden Rivers, the prior Three-Eyed Raven, who I believe was Hand to Aerys I). Maybe with Brienne as Lord Commander of the Kingsguard. Likely with Sansa as Queen or Wardeness of the North.

 

I don't see Jon or Daenerys living through the winter. They will fight and die to save the realm, or one will simply leave it. Titans like that only last in legend, not in the everyday life. Or perhaps Daenerys (and Jon?) will have a child, and he or she will be shepherded to take the Throne someday from a Regent or Lord Protector among our cast.

That's sad that the amount of hours left is bingeable in a day.  I can't even imagine TV without GoT now.   They should do spin offs:  young Jaime, Robert, Lyanna and Ned in the time of the mad king, another about the adventures of uncle Benjen north of the wall, one maybe about Drogo The Barbarian, and a Dallas type drama called Casterly Rock.   That would be a good show given an 80s soap  treatment.

Yeah, that's just one reason I have my doubts on the now repeatedly stated 13. I think the actors and showrunners have both suggested that number, but I just can't see it being that fast. HBO aside, I think the story is too sprawling. There's dealing with Daenerys' arrival and the Mad Queen Cersei, then there's the White Walkers. Unless they intend to double-size some episodes...

      Maeve makes a few sporadic appearances, but returns full-time the next spring/summer. She's back in time to see Bill and Michelle graduate, although she skulks around town and wasn't going to tell anyone she was alive. She comes back wearing this HUGE hat---which was a throwback to the old Vanesaa. lol.

      Aww, yeah it's very heartbreaking and I mostly enjoyed the Nola/Vanessa scenes because they finally let their walls down and came together in a beautiful moment. So Nola was at the hospital already and bumped into Vanessa, who had MRI papers that fell out of her hand and Nola went down to pick them up and asked her what was going on. Later, Vanessa confided in her about her disease. Then, Nola told Zachary on the beach (he prodded her and already alluded to knowing something was going on with Van), and then Vanessa found out she told him and got a little upset. Now, however, Nola is strangely absent while everyone is mourning her death. I'm curious if Nola will actually tell people about her MRI results. I would assume so. Only Nola, Rick, Roger and Zachary know anything, although there is the MRI results letter from the mail that everyone has missed seeing at home. I'm sure it'll all come out at some point. But... I just saw the next episode and the opening already cut Vanessa out and added Dahlia and Zachary. I guess Maeve is gone for a long time

       That will break my heart seeing the town continue to mourn her and assume she's dead. I can't wait to see her return though, and I have to imagine feelings will be torn between loving that she's alive and being very angry she did all of this. While I hate what Vanessa is doing, I'm happy to hear it's not totally against her character. I think you're right, had Henry still been around, she wouldn't put him through this. I'm still surprised she is with Bill, though. I get her feelings on Matt, because she wants him to move on, but still very heartbreaking. I'm glad this was Maeve's choice to have a break vs. being fired.    Interesting, so I'm curious to see who they eventually pair Phillip with. They're flirting with a Phillip/Annie pairing, but I'm not sure if they'll go that route with the Jeva drama, her growing pill addiction, and Rick's past with her.  Ugh, yeah I'm so sad to see Bridget do a total 180 in the last couple weeks. She has always been a strong character from what I've seen, but now she's just bending over backwards to get Hart to love her and it reeks of desperation. Yeah, sure, this new Hart is eye candy, but I'm already tired of seeing Hart/Dinah have sex all over Springfield and the Cayman Islands haha.

      Yes.  I remember them together during the early summer of 1986.  They didn't share scenes again for 30 years until 2017 because Carrie wasn't on the show when Anna returned during Sydney's kidnapping.

      I can see Kim being that way. Well, Kyle didn't have to say yes. LOL. The suicide attempt feels plot-driven. I don't know if even Long could've made it work. She'd spent so much time trying to make Reva and Kyle into a couple, it feels odd to just have them give up. Not to mention how odd it is to have Maeve agree to marry him. Re Charita---surely they could've at least tried  finding clips with who was still there. Maybe they wouldn't have been "big" moments, but surely she'd interacted with Ross, Vanessa, and Henry. Vanessa had dated Ed, FCOL. But Mo and Rick were there---surely they could've bothered to find some clips of her with them (and they did interact a fair amount) and used them. And with Ed they could've found some shot of her talking to him and just not cut to whoever was playing Ed in the clip. That to me is what feels lazy---they had more than a year to figure it out, and they went with a bunch of photos. If you were sort of centering it on Rick anyway---then find clips with them and use 'em.

      I definitely think it's time to write off Nina for good. I think her killing Drew might actually be a good idea. She could completely lose it after losing both Sasha and Willow and she ends up murdering Drew and eventually she gets caught and sent away to prison for a long time.

      This is the perfect way to encapsulate the situation. So many morally-reprehensible stories were foisted on the show and its characters in ATWT's dwindling years. Rape should never be used as a cheap plot device or in a way that degrades the victim. Jack's sexual assault was another heinous example of how nasty the the show's tone had become. The fact that people like Hogan Sheffer, Ron Carlivati, Jean Passanante, Charles Pratt, Dena Higley, etc., somehow end up winning awards for their material, decimates the credibility and integrity of the awards, IMHO. Soaps used to have a solid moral core and did not originally wallow in the gutter, rolling around in filth and depravity just to be cool, hip, campy, or whatever else modern-day PTB aim for. Thank you. Cruelty, degradation and misogyny are not components which lend themselves to successful soaps, which have always been predicated on warmth, family bonds, and providing a comforting haven for their audience. The genre has been crippled because the cynical and ignorant executives in charge understand neither the shows nor what the audience wants to see.
