Y&R sucks, but I love Sally McDonald, she's a great director. I don't care for Dean LaMont's "work" however. I'd rather Y&R win something for directing than the crap they pass off as "writing."

I'm surprised OLTL was snubbed this year.

I wonder what episode in particular William Ludel at GH is nominated for. I love his work too, and wouldn't be upset if he won.

Ugh! Casey Childs. For those of you curious, it's the Monday, February 16 episode after Zendall run Greenlee off the cliff. Figures. A cheesy event directed by an equally cheesy director.

The Macho Man episode with all the singing? Really? I guess this is last year's "Who Wants to be Shane Morasco's Father?" episode, so that means it will win. LOL Very shocked that got a nomination instead of the carnival accident. I wonder what Y&R's episodes were - too lazy to look for it. :)

The Sally McDonald episode originally aired on September 17, 2009. It's the lame episode where Colleen drowns and Patty's going crazy.

The Dean LaMont episode originally aired on December 31, 2009 - last week. It's Billy's special episode. WTF? LOL!

I'm excited about Cynthia Popp's DGA nomination. The directing(and Kay Alden's stellar butchering to Shannon Bradley's sh!t scriptwriting) really made that fashion challenge worth watching. Assuming it's the one where Katie finds out Jackie M stole the Forrester designs.

They could've saved that...

Oh god, the fantasy, shitty background episode. LOL No way.

There was nothing special about this episode either.

Man, what's up with the DGA liking fantasy episodes! I still haven't forgiven them for last year's fantasy episode win. LOL

I think I'll be rooting for Cynthia here. But I'll have to see Goutman and Child's episode first. I've already eliminated Y&R's fantasy episodes and GH's karaoke episode.

The ATWT episode is the special Valentine's Day episode that aired on February 16, 2009.

Another fantasy episode! Geez. Not looking forward to watching that. I gueses it'll be down to Childs and Popp for me.

The AMC episode also originally aired on February 16, 2009.

Here's the synopsis for it:

Kendall loses control of the car while arguing with Zach, ending up on the wrong side of the road with Greenlee's motorcycle coming right at them. Kendall and Zach are unhurt but Greenlee's motorcycle has careened down into the ravine by the riverbank. Zach goes off to search for Greenlee but only finds her wedding veil and what's left of her mangled bike. Zach tells Kendall he's going to take the blame for the accident and claim he was the one driving. Ryan soon arrives on the scene and begins a desperate search for Greenlee, diving into the freezing waters. The rescue team begins their search but the situation is bleak. Kendall admits to Ryan that she and Zach were arguing in the car. Ryan is furious to learn that Zach was driving the car. Ryan stuns Kendall when he accuses Zach of having slept with Reese. Ryan attacks Zach, blaming him for running Greenlee off the road because she was on her motorcycle to go confront him.

The B&B episode originally aired on August 13, 2009

Here's the synopsis for it:

Jarrett tries to get Bill to reconsider what he's planning to do and Katie will be blamed. Each design company put the finishing touches on their clothes. Dottie takes center stage and tells the crowd she's proud to present the fashion challenge. Jarrett explains to Bill that he's going to enjoy the show even though he knows how it's going to end. Forrester Creations starts up first and the crowd applauds uncontrollably, and even when the Logan sisters come out dressed in regal gowns, Stephanie tells Bridget that Eric and Ridge's designs are good but there's are better. Jackie comes out and congratulates Forrester's designs and she then presents her company's line and is immediately enjoyed by the crowd. Jarrett can't take any more of this and goes backstage and tells Katie that Bill Spencer paid off the judges so that Jackie M. would win and Forrester would lose it's momentum and would then acquire it, Katie then asks Bill if what he said is true.

The GH episode originally aired on September 29, 2009.

Nice to see Cynthia Popp finally getting some award show love.

She has really stepped it up and has been become quite original and yet is seamless with Michael Stich's directing style.

AMC has some strong directors--and Childs isn't one of them--and even for a majorevent episode I don't think that one was verymemorable. Wonder why it was chosen... (I'm also surprised OLTL didn'tget a nom)
