Several wishes...

Y&R: Sheffer, Hamner and Rauch all fired from Y&R. Kay Alden, Jack Smith and Trent Jones return as Co-HW's under MAB (unless her royal thighighness doesn't crack and leave to 'explore other projects'). The rest of the writing staff needs some pruning, but otherwise, they're fine. David Shaugnessy returns as EP, though the curiously interesting notion of Jill Farren Phelps coming aboard as EP still intrigues me, simply because I don't think she could make Y&R any worse.

AMC: Lorraine Broderick actually becomes the HW. Failing that, Nancy Curlee.

B&B: Brad Bell quits as HW, stays on as EP and hires someone flashy as the new HW. If Kay Alden and Jack Smith don't go back to Y&R then they stay exactly where they are at B&B.

DAYS: NOTHING. No changes! *Kay Chancellor* Dear God In Heaven *Kay Chancellor* No changes!

GH: Robert Guza fired. Karen Harris becomes HW.

I had a second question too, Toups! ;)

Who am I kidding, of course this writer wrote for Tomlin at SuBe. LOL!

Mary Beth Evans and Stephen Nichols, lol.

She was also instrumental in Luke & Laura's return to GH in the 90's and Maurince Benard being cast (but that didn't turn out so well in the long run, of course), I remember an interview with her and Wendy Riche in the 90's.

She would have been a great person to replace Wendy Riche as EP of GH in the early 00's. Too bad it never happened.

Angela Tessinari also expectedly didn't make the the move (her husband's job is firmly based in NY, so a move wasn't really plausible for her and her family). I hear that she'll fly out to LA to direct sporadically. Casey Childs will not continue on in any capacity.

Francesca James will also be directing episodes of AMC: LA.

I am PRETTY sure that Conal O'Brien and Steven Williford made the move and will be continuing with the show.

Heard that JHC stole a key crew member from GH - but I don't yet have the identity. Grr.

Ohhh..hmm....I'm going to agree with Alvin's guess of Mercer Barrows. What if it's someone like Bill Ludel, wouldn't that be shocking!

Yup!! OLTL's script writing team is getting a lot tighter - Melissa Salmons, Aida Croal and now Courtney. Not bad at all.

Any guesses on the DAYS one? :)

    • A--I wish someone would post a better vid of the entire ball, as it must be out there. And B--nope. Evie is only in a small segment of the ball with Phillip, Rick and Mindy. She doesn't dance at all. Ross dances with Helena and Amanda. I'm not even sure why Evie is at the ball---Vanessa heartily disliked her. I did see that Billy actually asked Henry to introduce him to Vanessa, which I hadn't realized.
    • Honestly, they should've ordered more of 2000 Malibu Road for the 1992-93 midseason and aired it when Knots went on a break. That was probably their best shot.    Then of course they fumbled Central Park West by airing it in the 9PM slot instead of a 10PM slot where it would've been away from the Fox dramas. CPW got its best rating by airing randomly on a Sunday and when it was taken off the air for a "re-tooling", Party of Five's ratings actually had a spike, so clearly they were feeding off each other. But being a smaller network focused on a certain demographic, Fox could afford to be patient Party of Five, CBS couldn't...
    • Agree on Bruce Gray as Owen; they needed to cast star power. He was too lightweight against Kim and he had no chemistry with Frances Fischer except more gay buddy or daddy figure.  I loved Nola and Eliot together though. Lee Godart should have been longer term.
    • Andre has the worst fashion of the males which is off putting for someone as fine as he is. His jackets and sweaters look dated and no vintage does not work for him
    • I don’t recall MSW having a toy line in the late 80’s or early 90’s like all those Saturday morning cartoons did LOL but thought this was cute when I saw it in a vintage toy store yesterday:

    • Copying and pasting pasting this here as to not to derail the KL thread lol Wow I forgot CBS actually did try multiple attempts to come up with a soapy replacement for Knots on Thursday nights in the 10/9 slots for the 93-94 season.   Angel Falls had promise but CBS didn’t give it a fair chance. Latham’s Second Chances got even worse ratings than Angel Falls and wasn’t given a second chance when the Northridge quake destroyed the show’s sets. One West Waikiki looked gorgeous but was a blink you missed it affair. Finally we got Hotel Malibu, a quasi follow-up to Second Chances that stayed as the summer replacement series it was. CBS switched gears and had Chicago Hope air in the slot…against ER. It made the Top 30 but obviously underperformed below expectations. CBS gave up, and gave us 48 Hours for years there. It wasn’t until the 2002-03 season when CBS finally produced a Top 20 show for that spot with Without A Trace against an aging ER.
    • Of course I join in on wishing that Peacock & Corday & Sony would all together come to the conclusion that NOW would be a fine time to put some of these gems in the archive on full display!!! But, at the same time I'd like to give kudos to the fact that behind the scenes they've been doing the great work of preservation by taking tapes, etc. & converting them to modern digital formats. Besides the important fact of preserving them it means they are ready to go!
