55 years ago Sabena Flight 548 a Boeing 707 crashed en route from New York City to Brussels, Belgium, on February 15, 1961, killing 73 people, including the entire U.S. figure skating team.

I'm sad to say that I don't think I have ever heard of this.:(  Is there a documentary somewhere about this?  I feel like the subject matter sure merits a documentary.

At the World Championships, Gracie Gold is currently in 1st place after the Ladies short program.  No US women has medaled at Worlds or the Olympics since 2006.

Never forget this day in 1961 when we lost our U.S. figure skating team.
