Did you all get 1080p? I am leaning that way of course..lol..and does your TV have 60hz or 120 hz??

Honestly, the hottest tvs right now are the Samsung LEDs. Not only do they look damn cool but they do use much less energy than a regular LCD. Unfortunately, they will also cost more than a regular LCD. Best Buy is having a sale on the 46" LED for $1599, which is pretty pricy for a 46". Also, LCDs generally do have a little better picture.

Although, despite the bad rap, I do kinda like the way a plasma has a much more fluid picture than an LCD, which can seem a bit too pixel-y at times.

EDIT: BTW, the price for the tv is a "Black Friday" only special.

I think I'm going the Samsung route too with 1080p and 120ghz...lol.

Not sure if I am going to pay $1600 bucks...lol....

Have you all seen those projectors they've been advertising this season? I guess they hook up to your TV and you can watch a big screen image projected onto your wall or ceiling, indoor or outdoor. The technology is nothing new, but they're only going for about $99, I guess they're being marketed as the recessionista's answer to the flat screen craze.
