It was six pages of gloom and doom that you didn't have to read.

Nor did you need to respond to my comment if you weren't going to say something productive.

And neither was your initial comment.

Take your fanwanking and your girl scout routine to a thread that warrants it.

If it doesn't happen, oh well. It still doesn't discredit the fact that many disturbing and problematic spoilers that were leaked weeks, if not months in advance this year regarding Y&R turned out to be true. You can't fault people for being pessimistic or sometimes realistic - we've been burnt too many times this year.

Did people initially believe Colleen was going to die and Victor was going to get her heart? I don't think so. Did people initially believe that Mary Jane/Patty was going to cause a little girl brain damage and kill Zapato? Nope.

Charming.

Sorry, but I don't take orders from you. Why don't you put me on ignore if my posts are so hard for you to handle?

And "girl scout routine"? WTH?

ETA: Forget it. I don't want to know.

But look at how many rumors were going around earlier this year that turned out NOT to be true: KSJ being fired, Jana dying, Kevin and Amber hooking up, Colleen leaving town after Brad's death, Bryton going recurring, Dru returning, and I'm sure there were more that I can't think of right now.

The story did seem to learn towards Jana dying and a Kevin/Amber hookup. Remember Jana's headaches? They changed it, I guess.

Yes, but most of those had to do with contract issues or characters being written off/returning.

It seems like the most morbid of spoilers turned out to be true this year, especially about characters being killed off, mostly for very stupid reasons or none at all. Fans are just on edge and for some, it's very hard to remain optimistic given the condition of the show and what's happened this year.

That baby's always gonna be Nick, it wasn't gonna be written any other way. Fanbases are at play and it chumps art (well at least in this case). But that does sound good

Thanks! I think it just goes to show what a Hack MAB is because if she was looking for a tie for Nick and Sharon then his name is Noah. She had a chance to really write a good storyline and one that would explain why Sharon slept with 3 different men and didn't know who the father was but instead she threw away a good storyline to please fans when all she had to do was remember Noah is always going to be the link for Sharon & Nick.

Sometimes IIC underestimate the importance of Friends or frenemy chemistry in favor of a Love Connection. Phyllis & Drucilla comes to mind, as does Dru & Olivia and Dru & Sharon. I love these relationships that aren't about being the next true wuv of somebody's life and feel they have just as viable a place on soaps as couplings. Michael & Phyllis are just such a relationship.

Despite CLB's sexuality, I buy that Michael and Lauren are married, committed and in love with each other. Lauren has fulfilled Michael in a way that no other woman has ever done. I also buy that Michael and Phyllis have a close, loyal and believeable friendship. It is built on a similar sense of humor and snark. They can relate to each other's flaws. But Michael and Phyllis making love? Can't see it. And I cannot see them generating the same physical heat that Morrow and Stafford have (even though I'm not nuts about Phick, that physical component is very much there).

Bingo! Perfectly phrased!

I actually don't mind Jana. Actually, I'd really like for Jana to get a headache and Amber's head to explode and then die and then "Daniel the Little Artist" (insert lisp on artist), comes out of the closet and turns out to be gay.

I'm still holding out for a Daniel/Sharon relationship.

Really? See, I think Daniel has the most potential to be gay on that show. To me, it just always made sense. I can see Phyllis being the mother of a gay son and being all about his boyfriends.

Sharon on the other hand, I really like her chemistry with Adam, and would like to see that develop, but since the writer's so badly damaged the character of Adam that will never become anything serious. It would be more interesting if Sharon didn't get pregnant already and have her baby. And if Adam was really after Sharon only to piss off Nick, and Sharon ends up in bed with both Nick and Adam (at separate times of course), ends up pregnant, and not know who the father is (as usual). Adam then falls in love with Sharon, she learns the baby is Adam's and Nick goes nuts and leaves Genoa City.

Michael/Daniel! Michael/Daniel!
