One positive, as I mentioned, is Prat tmiraculously seems to really liek the character ofOpal, and Jill so... fingers crossed (the fact Pete isn't coming to LA isn't goodthough)

Yeah... I like the idea of Randi but.. It's not just that the actress isn't great--it's that the character has much more potential. Way back we were told she was sexually abused at home as a kid, she became a prostitute, did some porn, had an affair with a senator, is VERY easily prone to going ever so slightly insane--so WHY is she portrayed like a 1950s soap heroine--pure as snow who jsu thas bad things happen to her? it's just not true to the character's history and really misses so much potential.

Loved Tad and Opal (I was starting to kinda not like MEK for some reason but the past little while he's reallys tarted to endear himself to me again). For all hsi faults I dig that Pratt loves Opal--I hope that means we will see her in LA. I do agree though this Tad/Krystal thing is forced--I actually don't mind Krystal unlike many on here and I get why it's been pushed now that Taylor is basically off the show but the friendship/relationship with Taylor was one of the few things I was really liking the past month and its sudden dropping felt, even by AMC standards so obvious and quick (it happened over about two episodes during the endless dance marathon--one day it seemed like there was long term story future the very next, none) that this turn around isn't working for me.

I don't think Liza and Jake will be lovers--there's no charisma there. That said I would like it if they somehow started a plot to get Jake back with Amanda that involved Liza seducing David while thinking she was seeing Jake. I think that foursome whas great comic and dramatic timing and chemistry together.

Yeah, Randi has lost all of her street edge (well, what little attitude Denise Vasi could convey) and has become a boring 1950s heroine.

ITA about Tad & Opal. Their scenes were the highlight of the week for me. I don't understand why the writers threw Taylor under the bus to reunite Tad with Krystal unless Beth Ehlers made it crystal clear she would not move to LA. I really liked Tad/Taylor and am not looking forward to Tad/Krystal redux.

I hope there is no Jake/Liza relationship on the horizon. My first choice for her is Zach and my second is David and my third is Tad. Seeing how many chemistry-free couples the show has had the past few years, though, it wouldn't surprise me if the writers went there.

Add me to those who think Madison's suicide attempt was real. I hate how the Hubbards showed absolutely no compassion for her. They have some nerve complaining about David being heartless when they couldn't care less whether another human being, especially someone in such emotional distress, lives or dies!

See? We agree! The Hubbards -- four of which are in professions that are supposed to be noble -- acting pissy because Madison didn't die just makes me dislike them even more.

It's gross. It's like:

Angie: Madison tried to kill herself.

Jesse: WHY DIDN'T SHE DIE, ALREADY?!?

Ugh! We're supposed to root for you? Not likely! You cover up a murder and then practically act like vultures outside of Madison's hospital room. I don't care what she "put you through." You gave her the power by lying and covering things up.

I still love the Hubbards but I do agree in this case (though the way Mad Madison has been acting I wouldn't expectthem to feel fully sympathetic, btu a bit of compassion, especially from Angie would be understandable). Steve--agreed 100% with everything else (I HOPE it was Beth not wanting to move that caused them to have her character be dropped from stories so quickly because it felt like they were finally fully finding their footing when it came to her--what a waste. Her interactions with Tad and her comedy were great).

Steve is that you in yoru new avatar since I came back? Looking good ;)

Madison has been harassing and tormenting for weeks. Why should they be showing her compassion? I dont blame them for wanting to get rid of her

theres a huge difference between simply not wishing someone dead as you wait outside of a hospital room and showing compassion. I dont expect them to show compassion for her not do i think they should, but to have two characters i assume we are supposed to root for wish this girl dead? ehh... but then again this is the show that has zach * kendell as good people when they are awful people responsable for murders.

Exactly. It's a fine line, but they crossed it nonetheless.
