August 13, 200916 yr Member It doesn't look like a good week for soaps. Days had 2.5 total viewers. Isnt that way down from last week??
August 13, 200916 yr Member It doesn't look like a good week for soaps. Days had 2.5 total viewers. Isnt that way down from last week?? Yep, it's down about 250,000 total viewers. Edited August 13, 200916 yr by Carolyn1980
August 13, 200916 yr Member Towering over key competitors by double-digit percentages, ABC ranked as Daytime's No. 1 network in target Women 18-49 (1.2 rating/786,000) for the 4th consecutive week,, overshadowing CBS (1.0 rating/676,000) and NBC (1.0 rating/649,000) by a solid 20%. Towering? That's marketing speak if ever I saw it. To Quote Jeanne Cooper: "My show sucks".
August 13, 200916 yr Member I can't believe it, KEN PLEASE FIRE DENA, the storyline is very long, it's been like 9 months since the Baby Switch storyline started. Edited August 13, 200916 yr by DAYS
August 13, 200916 yr Member ABC's ad revenues have got to be down with GH, AMC, and OLTL having just about the same 18 to 49 woman demo. The move is cutting production costs for AMC and OLTL. What is the plan for GH?
August 13, 200916 yr Member ABC's ad revenues have got to be down with GH, AMC, and OLTL having just about the same 18 to 49 woman demo. The move is cutting production costs for AMC and OLTL. What is the plan for GH? Well they have already cut quality now they probably just cut quantity.
August 13, 200916 yr Member BTW, for those interested, there are about 66,300,000 women 18-49 TV viewers in the US. Based on this stat, the cutoff for a 1.2 rating in women 18-49 (or 1.2%) is 763,000. 763,000 women 18-49 viewers gets you a 1.2 rating in the women 18-49 demo (because it comes out to 1.150%, rounded up to 1.2), while 762,000 women 18-49 viewers gets you a 1.1 rating in that demo (because it comes out to 1.149%, rounded down to 1.1). In other words, had GH gotten just 5,000 less women 18-49 viewers this week, it would've received a 1.1 rating instead of a 1.2 rating in that demo. Edited August 13, 200916 yr by Carolyn1980
August 13, 200916 yr Member Towering? That's marketing speak if ever I saw it. I thought the same thing. At least they're creative with their adjectives.
August 13, 200916 yr Member The ratings for ATWT are so close to GL's numbers. ATWT is a goner. Y&R with a 3.2 on Friday...LOL. The day Nikki was run over by dumb Ashley...LOL. Looks like viewers are tunning out.
