LMAO!!! What needed to happen, was like Rhythmchyc said... she needed to cover her face with her hands and flee the scene. Neil would look at him with the eyes of DEATH, and call him that sonfabitch, and be ready to rip him limb from limb... and then go after her. Then MONDAY we can see Lily and Neil in the Chancellor living room, her scremaing, crying, HYSTERICAL, asking Neil, begging him to explain why this happened to her, she needs to revert to a little girl with dialogue like.. "Daddy.. WHY? Why does this always happen to me? What is wrong with me?!!!" something to that effect. But could Kahlil pull a scene like that off? Hell no. I sometimes wonder who she's sleeping with to keep her job.

If you say so :). I didn't glean much technique, one way or another, out of that one line  . The previews on Monday, though, do suggest we're about to enter the eye rolling phase plot wise. Oh well, I'll be watching.

I think another reason it worked was because before ever making any character pregnant, they had the baby switch planned out. It seems to me that they have now altered the timing of Sharon's pregnancy to coincide with Ashley's suggesting to me that nothing is planned out months in advance. I truly wish that soaps would plan out pregnancy and the first year of a child's life before adding them into the bible.

MTS gets to pick her own wardrobe and she has the biggest wardrobe of anyone at Y&R.

Obviously, you all haven't seen the way she dresses off this show.

But the wardrobe for the other women is horrible. What the f.uck was Jess Walton wearing today? Did she skin a zebra and make its fur into silk or something?

Just calling it as I see it...

Bierdz was never that great of an actor anyway, and now that he says in interviews that he isn't there to act, it's painfully obvious and I blame MAB equally for letting this sh!t happen.

Nina's wardrobe has been the most dowdy I've ever seen in the history of Y&R. Jeez, K's waitress friend dresses better. Loved that pink rose top LOL.

Uh, Victoria had to take a trip out of town to take over the expansion that Nick was supposed to be in charge of since Victor put him in charge of it?

Plus this is a six month deal.

In my mind, this is about reversing a LML retcon, giving Bierdz some cash to continue with his artist ways (and then he can recur back in the future, kind of like Beau Kayzer). Bierdz, I think, is a temporary plot point...the main goal is to give Cane something to struggle with...to win back Lily's love...to win back the town's affections...to begin a romance with Mac (setting up, anew, the Billy-Mac-Cane-Chloe quad).

I see Lily spinning out of this tale. With Tricia Cast recurring, I think Bierdz is also there to introduce a soon-to-return-character into some angst.

Over the next five months, he'll re-establish all his relationships, repair them, and then go back to Australia to live authentically. Before he's done, Cricket will come back for a few reunion scenes.

By November sweeps, Rafe will probably go to Australia to live with him. And what will be left behind is P3's offspring, and Cane's rehabilitation.

I don't see either Nina or P3 sticking around much past November.

    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.

Newsom is a craven opportunist, but his comments today were exactly how better people need to handle Trump.
