IMO, CE is hotter than MM. I can't get use to MM just yet. His acting is ok. There isn't really anything wow about him. I would have rather seen CE and Yanni at the ending.

Thanks y&rworldturner. I stopped reading where you said "since we all know what happens next week" so sorry if I snapped. :)

I'm glad MM's making these acting choices. He's not utterly different like Tammin and Amelia, although most of that is in the writing. I really think he's got the potential to be as good of a recast as TSJ on OLTL.

I was glad Rafe played shocked, since this came from out of the blue.

I felt bad for Muhney, given all that expository text about his history and motivation. But I think it is useful, since so many viewers couldn't understand Adam's line of thinking. Now we know what the writers want us to think. By having Muhney recite all that, it brought the actor up to speed, and it connected the audience and those events with MUHNEY.

What a frenetic first two days. He acquitted himself well. I think in several weeks/months, we'll have a better handle on how he is going to play the character, and can judge better. For now I will say that I expected this Adam (because of his looks) to be "harder"...but I think Muhney has really been trying to play soft.

The precise timing of the "turn to Rafe" does raise questions about the timing of the actor switch...but I'm over it.

TSJ was lucky because his debut storyline was one of the few well-written stories Todd has had since somewhere around 1995.

This Adam story is so hollow, I don't think any actor involved will make a difference. It's all shock value. Being shocked isn't always a good thing, it can sometimes just make people become numb to a story. I also think they only brought up Hope because they finally realized, very late in the game, that people didn't understand, and increasingly may not even care, about why he's doing what he is.

I wish so much of the storytelling on this show didn't seem like, "Hey, this sounds cool!" "OK!" then months later, "Oh crap we did this wrong...let's sort of fix it." "OK." "Yeah. We'll do that. Hey, this sounds even more cool!" "OK..."

Oh man, after today and Monday's US episode....I'm starting to have bad feelings. I don't like these turn of events. I love MJ but I didn't like what she did to Summer (though the way she made Summer sick was pretty brilliant). You can't have a villain intentionally hurt a child physically - it just ruins the rooting value (at least for me). Now if was a kidnapping or psychological damage - I'm fine with that.

Then on Monday's ep.....we'll I'll post my thoughts on Monday.

*sigh*

But what was Adam's thinking? He doesn't get how his mother handles her blindness and blames his sick and deviant side on his father? Ok, is that supposed to excuse his behavior? Then let's have Adam say that he never meant to hurt Ashley or for her to lose the baby. That is not how it played out on screen. He confronted Ashley on the stairs dressed up as Sabrina while the elecrticity was out and a storm outside was raging. What exactly did Adam think was going to happen?

I didn't like Adam because from the get go he never took responsibility for his actions, but he didn't come off as a psycho just a manipulative jerk who liked to throw his Harvard degree around to validate that he was smarter than Nick and Victoria, like that would mean anything.

That whole Adam talking to Hope's picture scene was just a sloppy fix because the writers probably read that viewers didn't get what Adam's motivation was, along with some attempt to gain some sympathy for poor Adam raised by a blind woman who had a good heart but little money. And now feels bad about what he did to Ashley. Won't stop him from tormenting her though.

I agree. I didn't mind MJ and thought the actress was doing a good job with the part. She is a genuine psycho with some vulnerability but why would the writers go over the line once again by having her eat a peanut butter cookie and giving a young child "a kiss of death" just to get her parents to interact and worry over their sick child. People flipped when Gloria threw a steak outside and let Fisher out of the house and yet the writers think viewers will just think it's fine that MJ is willing to kill a child to make her plans work. Even Sheila wasn't that bad and she was a pycho. And why is it so important to her that Phyllis and Nick get back together? Even if they did she would still have to deal with Jack being Sharon's soft place to land.
