There's no sympathetic characters on this show right now. It's the actors that makes us feel for these characters, it sure as hell isn't in the writing.

I know I've said Adam is a sure target for a murder mystery but with that last shot, I was on his side again. CE's facial reaction -- Oh [!@#$%^&*], it's VICTOR! How do I get out this?! -- was priceless. CE's Adam is probably the first & only time in my soap-watching I'll ever root for such a punk-ass psycho.

Rafe did look good even though his hair was whack. Heather looked her usual hot self. The Newman living room sure brought the pretty today.

Nina needs to stay and slay the Beastmaster! Go, Nina!!!

Jill in the manicure shop? UGH!

I had to roll my eyes at Victor lecturing Nick about thinking about the kids. It was unintentionally funny though.

Who is written sympathetically on this show? They're either borderline psychos or hopping from bed to bed, or crazy over some man.

It's the actors who make these characters seem real, not the writing.

I don't know how you write sympathy for a character! You're not supposed to tell your audience how to feel in the writing. I do feel sympathy for Jill - after today, Ashley - OMG how can u not feel for her, Mary Jane!!...the list goes on and on..

I'm surprised her dead stuffed body hasn't started to rot yet....

What about Nina??

I love Nina, but her storyline has just begun, and as I've said repeatedly, she's the only good thing about this show right now.

Oh please -- comparing Adam to Todd? Adam grew up with a good mother and good values and no abuse. His evil can only be explained as majorly fucked up genes or the work of Satan. Todd's evil was "explained" as his being an abused child -- just like our oh so pitiful Kevin. Even Victor's evil was partially explained as having to do with him being abandoned as a child, having a vicious father, and having to fend for himself. That's why Victor's so mean -- Bill Bell took the time to explain it. I don't even mind that Adam's bad to the bone -- I just wish he hadn't crossed the line into baby killer.

But when most of the characters appear to be sluts and psychos, are they telling us these people are root-worthy? I don't think so.

Not to mention how pathetic and whiny Jill, Amber, Gloria, and some others are.

Ashley is just written as being stupid. No way hell should she still be living in that house, as Eileen Davidson pointed out.

I think Dee was referring to Paul. I might be wrong though.
