I wouldnt say its a miracle, id say its about damn time the show wrote a happy mac. I honestly think up until this point it was written fro mac to be dark/edgy/bitchy but not ina good soap opera way, in an annoying mac kind of way. lol.

Mac finally got to let her hair down and flirt and have a little fun and SMILE. and Clem rocked it IMHO and i hope they work on the characters, because i do feel that the character is the issue, not the actress.

It doesn't even need to be a role reversal since that selfish bastard Nick is the only one who saw the results and actively stopped Jack and Phyllis to run another DNA test. Have Sharon find out he wanted Phyllis more than her at the time and pretended another mans child was his just to do so.

That doesn't really fit with how things went down at the time though. Nick was going to stay with Sharon even though Phyllis was pregnant. Then Sharon pushed him away. I don't want to see the paternity changed at this point in any case. Maybe in a couple of years, but right now, it's too much. When Nina said that DNA couldn't be trusted I was thinking, maybe not in GC  But in the real world mistaken results are few and far between.

But I am with Alvin. We don't want one more "fraudulent DNA" of any time, I feel.

In a strange way, if Nick DID lie, I wonder if could bind him and Phyllis together in a way. After all, fraudulent DNA was the glue that cemented Phyllis to Danny for years. It would be strangely karmic.

I cant' believe I wrote the above. I have loved this couple. But--seeing the writing on the wall--I am prepared for Phick to be dismantled in the most gruesome ways possible.

Hey yall! Been pretty busy this week (new man, maybe a new job, new jeans!) but just wanted to say Adam is out of control! More stuff happens on this Y&Rin a week than happens in a year on some shows and it's good stuff too. Not groundbreaking, but not boring for sure. MS and PB have their Emmy reels.

The spoilers are insane!! MAB will either be hailed as a genius or a the newest kitchen-sink writer. My gut says the former.

Branco says he thinks that Victor knows it's Adam who is messing with Ash. I think it's more Braeden trying to show that nobody will play Victor for a fool. Cause with everything going on, if he knew it was Adam he'd put his ass in jail quicker than you can say mumble. But how funny was it to see Adam runnijng through the house like the hunchback of Notre Dame?

From MAB's interview looks like a rainbow is headed to GC. Does anyone else see HUGE sparks between Chloe and Mac?? MAB said something to the effect of "maybe another gay pairing". I think it's these two for sure.

Who cares about the bullsh!t, we wanna know about the jeans :).

I have absolutely seen what Branco's talking about, vis-a-vis Adam. And, like you, I have believed that Braeden was working against the text and subtext given to him. He will not allow Victor to be the fool. But there are places where the text ABSOLUTELY works against what Braeden is trying to do...like when he told Adam to keep an eye on Ashley. I guess that could have been a little bait to make him Adam feel like he was getting away with it...but I definitely think Braeden is modifying the story.

But you know what? I'm cool with it...because from what I can tell, Braeden is doing it all with his eyes/line delivery/jaw. If he is that skillful, let him have it!

Hmmmmmmm. But neither character has shown a modicum of same-sexedness. Mac has been with Billy, JT, Raul and kinda-Kevin. I'm not saying she couldn't be (Clementine Ford was married to a man, for a time), but I'm not feeling it...not even in CF's portrayal. And Hendrickson, it seems to me, is not playing any such subtext either...plus for her, it would kind of be redundant to play a lesbian again after AMC.

I hadn't thought "lesbian" though. But I'd be totally cool with that. I just don't think it is these two. (But I have not a clue who else it would be).

Yes. Just to see the faces of their men...priceless. That said, why do I feel Billy would say: "Wait...Chloe and Mac are having sex? Sex? Prepare to make a Billy sandwich!!"

I could easily buy Mac as a lesbian.I think her past supports it to some degree. She always seemed uneasy with relationships. I can't buy Chloe as a lesbian. The show would have to really change her for me to buy that. But if GL can do it with Otalia and

then I guess anything is possible.

 Can't wait to see Friday's show.

(Not diminishing your enthusiasm one bit...because I think Bergman DESERVES each of his Emmys...but the only problem I have with that moist-eyed Jack is that it is not the Jack I first loved [Terry Lester's]. So, when Bergman is knocking it out of the park I am still...two decades later...still wondering where his sensitivity came from.)

But, yes, this has been a strong week on several fronts, and most notably the Stafford-Bergman and Miller fronts. (That scene earlier in the week where Billy and Jack had their confrontation just killed me...because BOTH actors were totally in the moment...Miller MATCHED Bergman on the "emotional truth" dimension).

Since my Phick is apparently dead, I hope the future brings Billy-Sharon together. I really think those two are terrific, and I would love to see Bergman continue his role as "odd man out" with this twist.

On the other hand, due to the intentional plotting, Y&R has now effectively deadened my love for Nick Newman. This minute, I want him in a plane crash...just to knock some sense into him.

And Phyllis. Sigh. Just thinking about her makes ME tear up. Sad, beautiful woman. I really do hope she finds sincere happiness some day. Even though that apparently bores everyone else to tears.

See, I look at it from another angle. If Mary Jane ends up being who we think it is, then what we're seeing is the evolution of Jack into a man who is much more similar to John Abbott, finally letting go of the man he was before, a man completely driven by his own desires no matter who he hurt, and stepping into his father's shoes - just as he's faced with a living breathing symbol of what a deplorable human being he was. Also, we haven't seen Jack have any need for revenge against Victor since the diary. Sure, there are snide comments, but Jack appears to be moving on, focusing on love and family in a way he never could before. Unlike Victor, whose whole purpose with Mary Jane was to help bring about Jack's ruin somehow.

And just as Jack embraces the future his father wanted for him, he's confronted by his own horrible past and who he used to be. So I'm okay with the "kinder, gentler" Jack for now, because I'm curious what it will mean three months or six months or a year from now when all of this blows up in his face and he wants vengeance. Which Abbott man will he choose to emulate - his father, or the Jack Abbott he was in his youth?

    • Christian Streaty wrote her second freelance script today on Days. Surprised they gave the first funeral episode to a newbie.
    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!
