Your opinions just REEK of the MTV generation, where viewers have the patience of a tse-tse fly.

There you go again. Attacking and discriminating.

I've told you that he, e.g., likes Herskovitz & Zwick shows except quarterlife. Is that your MTV generation stuff?

Do white writers even realize how big a deal this is to a Black family?

No! That is my point. There should be someone in the writers room of the number one soap to write in this sort of realism. It does not have to be a big storyline, just a line or a look would go a long way for this viewer.

Why do you think this?

Hmmm... we haven't had one since LML... or does Adam taking over count?

These writers only know how to use a bit of business to create conflict, nothing else.

And give it a couple months, more things will turn up. Your opinions just REEK of the MTV generation where viewers have the patience of a tse-tse fly.

MAB has been there for a year and half now, and she's done nothing with half of the cast. NOW THAT reeks of BAD storytelling.

I still haven't hear from you what kind of SL you'd consider to be "creative"... after 50 + years of soaps on TV, it's all just about been done before. Unless wer'e talking beastiality or cannablism.

Anything that doesn't involve half of the cast in a triangle, most of the character's as criminals, most of the storylines being mystery related. MAB finds one or two themes and she makes the whole show about that specific theme.

I do not want another mystery, mental illness, or triangle story. What happened to the romance, social issue storylines, and the corporate intrigue storylines? I'd hardly call Jabot changing CEO's every 5 minutes a corporate storyline.

Now I don't know what's better: the threads we had last year when a very few discussed the episodes, or now when a lot of people discuss too much.

It was your opinion on someone else's reasons for liking what they like. It doesn't matter why people have a particular opinion. It doesn't invalidate the fact that some people like the show right now. Just like no one can invalidate your reasons for not liking it. Now stop dragging me into the madness, damn you!

Well said. People should not have to "prove" why they hate or like the show. It is what it is.

Personally, I like it.

On the other hand, I'm joining the anti-CF bandwagon. Did you see her dance with Devon? Save for one glance at his eyes, she never looked at him. Unsmiling, she looked at the floor.

I wondered if the backstory is this: "Mac was raped in Darfur? She's a recent rape victim who hasn't told anyone what happened?" Because, honestly, that's about the only story I can accept right now for the way Mac is being played. She's positively autistic. I'm serious.

It's quite hard to believe that CF is being directed to play the character in this way. How can PR, MAB, various directors - look at this portrayal and think it's good???? There has to be someone there seeing what is clearly coming across to all of us.

This appears to be one thing we can all agree on - CF must go. Now.

She isn't working. She had enough time to prove herself. If she can't adapt to daytime, let her go.

Buh-bye, Mac! :P:P

Like I said before she even appeared...

Maybe they just think "We got Cybill Shepherd's daughter!" and that's enough for them.

Like I said before she even appeared...

But you didn't neccesarrily say it about the actress, you just knew that the character is hard to play.

Paul Rauch certainly does not!

Then it's very clear that MAB has too much control.

WAY too much control, and given her lack of experience as HW, that is not a good thing.

It didn't work for Jack Smith, didn't work for Lynn Marie Latham......

Haven't you forgotten? MAB IS GOD! <_<

Who said she's a God?

She may not be perfect, but she's not bad either.

Like I said, it says A LOT about daytime that her storytelling is best on air right know.

Cancellation for everyone!

I think this is the third time I'm saying this: but they all deserve their abysmal ratings and worse!
