I totally hear you. That's a pacing issue. I don't want to see things move at a glacial pace, but frankly, I would have much preferred a better set-up for whatever this is. They should have given a couple days of this, rather than a couple scenes. And like I said, had the time to play the emotional beats of it, as opposed to just the plot of "We want you to do this", and "Okay, I'll do it". I wish there had been more of that.

So on that, I will absolutely totally agree with you.

And yeah - I have no desire to see Daniel on the run again either. Been there, done that, saw the location shoot. But like I said, as long as this ties back to something emotional, and it's not just a bunch of day player bad guys (Hi, ATWT) and it all means something, I'm willing to overlook a rocky start.

Because he's a f*cking goldmine? SOD puts him on every other cover (and Joshua Morrow on the other half) because they SELL MAGAZINES. EB got a New York Times story. Love him or not, he is their star. Half the show's CURRENT stories are in his orbit. He's their "Lucci". Of COURSE you try to retain such a valuable asset.

Yeah, but with a few words, Brimike has helped me to see--again--this is just the START.

Yes. Honestly, I see no point being a daytime fan without patience.

Oooh. You WOUND me :)

Wicked!

If this is Hogan's or Scott Hamner's idea, then Maria needs to exercise a little executive power and just. say. (hell) no.

I know you can't Mark! And since we're going down this road - let me post my newest theory for Rafe:

Adam learns Rafe is gay. Rafe learns Adam is scheming. Rafe is torn by his beloved Aunt and his crush on Adam. Adam senses it and seduces Rafe with the condition that Rafe will do his bidding. It's perfect cause Adam would be in essence doing the same thing Jack did to him -screw him over (this time literally).

Hey, y'all are the ones who keep turning this board into QAF! I'm trying to bring a little dignity into the proceedings, you know?

The only way I'll find any satisfaction at all w/ Daniel's story is if it puts Amber, or his relationship with her, in jeopardy. Because, quite frankly, I can't stand those two. Otherwise, though, forget it.

    • She did have a thing with him in the late '90s, before she inexplicably disappeared with no mention as to why, although I can't remember if they had sex.
    • I don't believe she did. She did sleep with Simon, believing he was a Spaulding.
    • -- If I ever get sick, please don't send me to Garland Memorial. That hospital is a YIKES. -- Soooo much activity around the main nurses' desk. Do they move dead people on a gurney past that desk, too? -- 8 months for Bill to recover from a "small stroke"? Uh....I don't think so. Is anyone researching this stuff? The hospital stuff is not coming off as realistic. -- It's good that Derek and Ashley are being integrated into other stories, but it's a real stretch to say Leslie was "stalking" Ashley. It makes Derek seem dumber than we already think he is. -- Ashley spends a lot of time having small talk while she's at work. -- Chelsea is embarrassing. Period. -- Tomas is supposed to pick up the slack for Bill, but he has time to have worthless conversations with Leslie? OK then. -- Kat is destroying the case against Leslie, but that's clearly the way to keep Leslie on the canvas.
    • 6-3   I almost let my system just delete the episode just like with B&B. I am now questioning if I should have. lol.   I just can't believe that Cole sat there and started to get sick and then only Victoria off and ran off and everyone basically went back to what they were doing at Nikki's birthday party. Cole was too much of a vet character for that. And now story back off-screen.   I did chuckle at how much Victor pay Kyle dust. And now Kyle with this deal and a promise to leave town if he hurts Claire. smh. As if Victor isn't going to make that happen.   It was lovely to see Ashley. And actually (misdressed and all) Abby.    And I liked Claire's dress.
    • Oh. That. I pretend that never happened.

I did think of another possibility. Did India ever sleep with Alan? They kind of toyed with pairing them up, but I'm not sure they ever became lovers.
    • While I do love the chaotic energy that is Kat vs Lesile, it is a bit extra. Sheltered, virginal Kat who plays it safe from her man to her wardrobe understands that Leslie is dangerous, but she's out here showing up everywhere and anywhere that Lesile is to be found and actively going to places where she is alone? I mean Kat doesn't even act a little afraid or intimidated by Leslie. Meanwhile, big Ole Derek out here begging for his and Ashley's life to Jacob.  As for Dani, I didn't see it that way. Dani and Bill were together for 30 years and shared a family. I believe there was real love there at one point. Bill is still an ass and Dani is still crazy, but realizing she may lose him and her daughter's may lose their dad definitely struck a chord.
    • Funny I randomly saw Kami’s lengthy post about the 44th anniversary of the Walton’s finale last week pop up in my news feed on Facebook. A few inaccuracies to her post but overall it was pretty insightful and interesting to read.
    • Well, depending on rewrites...Jennifer Richards potentially slept with Brandon and Alan. It does feel like we're forgetting someone, but then again, maybe I'm confusing that with brothers, which would include a lot more.
    • Maybe it’s me, and the fact that RC isn’t at the helm, but since Cwikly and Ford have taken over I’ve noticed the show doing a lot of things differently directing wise, and since the storyline of John’s demise began, the show has been using different scores, and dare I say better ones than this time last year. It’s interesting and I wonder if the any of it is Noel Maxam’s influence before being promoted.
    • I think Nicole is about to figure out what's going on between Andre and Dani.
